My parents and I planned a WDW trip this week thinking wait times would be low, but they're the highest I've seen them. 135mins at Soarin' halfway thru evening EMH last night! 😲

Does anyone else overhear some interesting things whilst walking thru the parks? Yesterday in Epcot I passed a woman who was pointing at The American Adventure and asked her husband, "Is that a hotel?" And he responded, "No, that's not a hotel, that's a replica of Independence Hall."

So we're at OKW, and it's our first time doing DVC... I must say got a bit excited with the added amenities that come with the deluxe studio, especially the Minnie dish soap and sponge 😄 I told Dad we should buy microwave/toaster/fridge/freezer things just to take advantage of everything, haha!
Now, we're off to DD, prolly DQ, and then Boma for dinner and back to DD.

It great to see you C-Ticket! In just over 2 months I will be staying at OKW for my first DVC visit too! I'm a POFQ regular, so it will be my first experience with a Deluxe Studio too. Hey everyone! I haven't been on in ages, how is everyone??
Anyway, Dad and I are going in August, then we'll go in January with Mum.
In August, we're staying at Old Key West for the first time—anything we should know? (tips, etc.?)
We like to stay as close to the Hospitality House as possible. Close to food, drink refills and launch to DTD. There are no elevators so I request first floor. Nice resort and location. Buses usually not too crowded. Have fun! - Jalex239

Four years ago today was my first day in Magic Kindom! Four years ago yesterday we arrived in WDW and had dinner and Earl of Sandwich because there wasn't room anywhere else! That was just four years ago... And now I'm planning my eighth trip to WDW and first trip to DL! When's the anniversary of your first trip?
I think that my 1st trip was in 1974. I was 7. I have been 5 times since then. We are planning our first trip to DL this year and our next WDW trip Nov/Dec 2013. - mel6785

I have 2 firsts to WDW. My very first time to WDW was for my honeymoon June 2003. I was enchanted, started my love for all things Disney. Second First was in 2008, we brought my daughter to WDW for her first time. I was even more enchanted this time seeing Disney through the eyes of my child. This started my addiction to the world and trading pins began which also lead to us becoming DVC members soon after. We hope to go to DL soon for the first time for my daughter and me. - majickingdom79

Whenever we go to booksales, we look for old WDW travel guides. Picked this one up a couple weeks ago- fun to read about things like "Countdown to Extinction" (Dinosaur!) and "Doug Live!"! Anybody else do this?

Stay at your home resort, akl is my home resort to and I love it! Or blt I'm hoping to stay there and July and it looks nice, if your going to DL the grand Californian looks nice, when we went to DL I wanted to stay at the grand but there were no more rooms but we stayed at the DL hotel with our DVC points and it was nice - nodell111

Been dvc member since 2007. We own at Saratoga and grand Californian. Love it so worth it. We highly recommend it. Great vacations and as everyone else said ditto! We wouldnt be able to travel to WDW without it. - dvcfam4

That stinks. I remember when we stayed at the AKL, and did the quick service breakfast. The only true veg option was pastries. The pancakes and waffles both came with meat. Good thing I had a carnivore with me. - Lelundrial
