Like Andrea suggested, it's all or nothing when it comes to the meal plan. DVC members do get a reduced rate, but I still don't eat enough food to make it worthwhile. (However, my snack credits would be gone in a flash!) - CollegeDisneyKnowledgeGrad

Yes, we went 12/23-12/30 one year and never again! Too crowded and expensive and wouldn't suggest it. Try the first few weeks of Dec for a more more enjoyable WDW Christmas and bday!
They reach capacity at Christmas on most days, very crowded. May even be worse or just as crowded as Spring Break. - mrsincredible

We went last year for the first time during the Christmas holidays and it was not bad. We only had one day when it was crowded. It is still the prettiest time to go. If u are not in the Christmas spirit when u are there something is wrong. - tdarden

I've been there a few times for Christmas we used to go every year on Christmas the crowds aren't too terrible it is definitely busy though but with all the lights and things to see its worth walking between a few extra people. I've never seen it hit capacity at those times I was there. So not as bad as spring break - mickeym0use

My thoughts and prayers are with all of Boston. My brother ran the marathon last year and was on a business trip this year or he might have been there running. I had 2 childhood friends there and am so thankful 1 was unable to run and the other crossed the finish line 45 minutes before the bombs went off. Pixie dust and prayers to all effected by these tragic events. - MagicalFamily
