I guess "junk" is the wrong word - that's the wife's word. I am a very impulsive buyer and am easily distracted by 'Ooooo Shiny.' She's the one who looks forward six months and says, "and you bought this for what reason? To sit on a drawer or take up space on a dresser? I am the one who dusts it off. It's just a waste of money.

haha. that is a good point as well! i will be honest, with me collecting vinyls and somewhat pins, I TEND TO BUY EVERYTHING so bad!!! it is likely a WANT and not NEED! but that is a sad fact, disney stuff looks cool, hence "OH SHINY!"... but after 6months, it will be like, "WHY DID I BUY THIS?" Did you know you could stay at a mid- level resort like Port Orleans for the economy price with a Military Discount
@MrsIncredible, i hope i dont get GROUND/FIRST FLOOR ROOM! - otilegna  1773.7 #67 4:19PM
Yeah, definitely ask about that when you check in, and if they give you a ground floor, say no to the "90's" section, haha!! - mrsincredible  784.2 #6 3:52PM
Yay, so happy for you :) - tracsant  924.9 #2 1:54PM

Have you ever stayed at the Shades of Green resort? That's where we stayed my first trip, I loved it. Probably cost more than value with military discount though. Wish my brother in law wanted to go back before he retires from army in two years, I'd love to stay there again. But I don't think you can do dining packages there. - txdisneymomma  80.9 #68 7:16PM
i never stayed there before. it might be a lil bit pricey compare to value resort (heard that it was a deluxe disney resort before army mwr bought it). rooms are nicer compare to value resort. however, for my case i don't drive :( so transportation to/from airport and to/from parks , staying at Disney resorts is more viable - otilegna  1773.7 #67 9:18PM
Yeah they are over $100 a night and yeah no transport from airport but do have park transportation. Was curious if you'd stayed there before, haven't known anyone else who has. It is really nice resort and restaurants are good. My nephew loved watching all the ducks and turkeys walking a round he took several pictures of them, I discovered many wildlife pics on my camera lol. But I do think you're right value resorts are cheaper and you have magical express with them. - txdisneymomma  80.9 #68 9:47PM
A friend of mine stayed at Shades of Green and they love it. They have a rental car so its alright. I also saw the park shuttle of SoG, it is per hour (except for TTC - every 20mins). And also, they might not be included with Dining Plan - otilegna  1773.7 #67 10:39PM
