5th Anniversary Princess Half Marathon medal. I couldn't run it but it's sure pretty!
A year ago I would have laughted at anyone who would have told me I could do a Half Marathon. Well I did it! At first I signed up for the Tink thinking I'd walk it. They said you should train at 15 min/ mile pace (which is a fast walk). Then I was challenged... someone said why don't you try jogging a little bit of it. With gradual training I ended up running ~90% of it (walking inclines and water stations). Not only that i think i smiled most of it. Running through DL and DCA, characters and CM cheering us on. Floats, bands, music, and many, many people cheering us on (including MErs). It was one of my top 5 Disney experiences. Both my teen daughters ran the 5k the same weekend and now want to run longer races. I hope to inspire others to do it. Start with a 5k. It's a fun event that can motivate you to get fit. - NikkiMickey

I've done 2 princess weekends, 2 goofy weekends (no I am not Goofy, lol), and the inaugural tower of terror last year. wdw is huge and a totally different experience from DL. It was a shock to me but a very cool experience. If you're considering traveling for a Disney race I have a couple travel agents I'd be happy to recommend. They made my life much easier and you don't pay travel agents, they give you the same prices as disney (they can even do discounts). Disney pays them. When you know nothing about wdw which was me a couple years ago that's a big help. - SorcererMky
