Many Motel 6's have been upgraded with wood floors and new beds. They are really inexpensive. We've found some under $45 a night. Just make sure you look for renovated rooms in the description. Happy travels!

Microtel has been good for us, too. You might check Tripadvisor for a particular hotel's rating, just to be sure. Some Days Inns and La Quintas are nice, but then we've also had some really scuzzy ones. They seem to vary a lot site by site. If you know where you are stopping, sometimes Priceline or Hotwire can give you GREAT deals. - ally

We like flying Frontier into Orange County. Small airline and small airport. And the airport is really close to DL.
I've flown delta from Orlando to John Wayne. Never flown to lax, have no desire to. They're good. I have no real preference on airliner though - IndyandMarion

Had one bad experience with delta. Spent over 36 hours in the air port and air planes. We left San Diego and got to Detroit an flights started toget delayed. After two more flights made it to NC (never to Disney world) and had to sleep on the floor since the car rental was closed.
Believe on high school trips we flew delta and it wasn't bad. Husband likes frontier. I don't like flying in general. - TinkTinkTink

We have flown Delta, American and Continental (doesn't exist anymore). I like American, because they have the two seat side and I would always get that side. Although last time, I had to pay to put us on that side after they moved us. Well they are United now, but Continental was the worse. I don't blame them for the weather delay, that wasn't there fault. But they rushed to seat everyone on the plane and then we sat there for an hour while they loaded the plane. I don't like flying, and I have my special flight pills to deal with it. Now I am usually sleeping the whole time. - Lelundrial

Didn't delta used to be the official Disney airline? In any case, I flew delta way back in 1993 and it was great, but that was back in the day when you would get a hot meal and a sandwich, lol! I've flown with southwest the last two times, and I've been relatively happy with it, especially the bag allowance, the price, and the flexibility. However, I did get my outbound flight canceled the night before and NO notice. If my friend hasn't been on the same flight, I wouldn't have heard in time to rebook. - bluefairy

It appears that there are not as many "locals" in Florida in comparison to California. I tried hard to update times while I was there last weekend. It looks like they default to an average time based on the day if the time hasn't been updated manually.

It's not DL, so not a lot of locals. Most on WDW app vacation here and live somewhere else. Really only a small handful of locals so you can see why. DL app is the opposite as you probably know being a CM. everyone else wishes they could be at the parks to update the wait times. - Disneymba

I don't really have an opinion on the covers but I do appreciate how they arranged the inside. The map was very visible if you turned it inside out. You didn't have to have the whole thing unfolded; only two sections. Much easier to carry and walk. Helped me a lot since I don't know my way around. I think the new app will be useful once it's all up and running.

Now what I find a little funny is the QR codes on the bottom. I don't understand scanning a code, to download an app that is exactly the same thing that is in your hand. However, I assume this is on a "First day" basis. The app was recently updated and does run smoother. Plus you can make dining reservations right from the app....I assume that once Fastpass+ is live, you'll have access to your wristband from the app. So it'll be a process. But they'll also keep the maps in paper form for those who don't come loaded with the latest tech. - IndyandMarion

I like this show. But I do like the attraction at DL better. It's hard to compare because they are so different. I think LMA is the best show I've seen at any of the parks on either coast.
Sorry you didn't enjoy it! 😢 Indiana Jones is a big part of American film history. It's a must-see for us every trip. In Dec, the kids went down front after the show for a pic with Indy - they loved it! - mrsincredible

I usually get sick on vacations if we fly so I made sure we drove. We used 2 small bottles of hand sanitizer and were lucky not one of the 7 of us including my 1 year old got sick! She did get a fever when we got home but I honestly think that was coincindence or molars lol! - ccmom
