I got to be park of the limited time magic this morning at the Magic Kingdom, with VP of the park, Phil Holmes. I asked him about the rumor of the Main Street Electrical Parade coming back to Disneyland. He said, he likes the parade a lot and loves having it here. There are no plans of it heading back to Disneyland. He also said Disneyland is probably working on something of their own. It was very  More...
It was so neat to be there before park opening. Phil was real nice. Shook my hand & introduced himself. He talked about Walt's vision for WDW and how Roy carried it out. Walked to the hub and talked about the castle and it's diff changes over the years.. Walked through castle to fantasyland. This was Walt's real vision of the park. Talked about expansion and the beast's castle; BOG and what attention that is getting. All the details the imagineers puI had asked why the move to take out Snow White and opt for more princesses... Where is the stuff for boys/males. Mine train should be for family and boy appeal. The princesses needed a home of their own after being moved around a bit into the expansion Talked about the circus and how they got the concept. And in early years of DL, they had a circus, so it was a coincidence. Then we boarded the train for the opening ceremony. We had some questions he answered... Sounds like mine train is opening summer 2014 - wickedale  300.0 #787 9:10AM

All booked for my first trip ever to WDW in November. I'm super pumped and cannot wait!!!! 🎉🎉🎉👏👏🎉🎉🎉👍👍❤❤
Oh that's exciting! You are gonna have such a magical time*+.*+.*+. - CinderellaPrincess85  194.6 #36 4:18PM
YaY! How exciting! November is the perfect time to go! Our first trip with our 2 littlest was in November, so magical!! Where are you staying? How long will you be there? - DizneyGirl  549.8 #9 1:51PM
Does anyone have opinions on the meal packages? So far I added it to the trip. It's one quick service and one table service meal with one snack. $58. I don't tend to eat a lot anymore and I don't want to spend the time waiting on food. I probably won't go crazy and order the most expensive things. So the question is, should I keep this plan? I've read on the Internet some say yes and some say no. However, if they release the specials in a month or two for the time I'm going and the plan is included, of course I would take it. But it just doesn't seem I need it. Advice? - wickedale  300.0 #787 4:09PM
If I added a meal plan I would go with quick service. The deluxe dining plan is A LOT of food and you feel like you're always eating. - CinderellaPrincess85  194.6 #36 4:13PM
Congrats on booking the trip! So fun! We do the dining plan only because my family enjoys the character meals : ) It's convenient not having to pay at each meal. When my little one is bigger I'm not sure ill continue with the plan I get. - DisneyLisa78  41.1 #102 5:12PM

Hi. New to the FL Mousewait but not to the CA side. I'm looking for some advice for a trip, or if someone can point me in the right direction. Might make a solo trip happen to the magic kingdom. Would love to go right after the holiday overlay, before the crowds pick up and when the weather would be cooler. Can anyone share some tips.. Places to stay (I heard about magic mornings and magic nights)  More...
Hi welcome to the FLip side , I went one yr in mid jan and weather was nice and cool and crowds not to bad, accommodations depend on your budget , they have some awesome resorts , deluxe has the grand Floridian , yacht and beach club and animal kingdom lodge that are wonderful , moderate coranado was very nice , haven't stayed at a value but everyone seems to love pop, extra magic hours are for anyone who stays on property , they are either in the morning before park opens to the public or after it closes , making reservations for dining is a must , have fun planning and feel free to ask away:) - tracsant  913.3 #2 2:59PM
I have been to both parks...DL more than WDW but I've been to WDW 3 times in the past 6 months. We loved Wilderness Lodge...it's VERY similar in decor to Grand Californian. We have also stayed at Pop Century. The biggest thing I didn't realize is that at WDW you make reservations for most restaurants. It's different from DL where you just go and eat wherever you want (except Blue Bayou). The parks are a lot alike AND a lot different! I have a love for both! It did take me a little bit to learn to appreciate each for what it is instead of trying to compare and contrast! I hope you have a magical time!! One of our trips was in January...weather was beautiful and low crowds, we also went in feb...weather again beautiful but we happened to be there during cheerleading nationals-very crowded!! We also went last week. On and off showers but not horribly crowded! - brittandkell  348.2 #582 3:19PM
Go dine at Cinderella Royal Table, (dont feel awkward if u are solo that time, just make urself busy while eating). Single Rider line is awesome! Try to meet-up with some folks here.. - otilegna  1750.6 #67 9:42PM
Welcome to our mw family here at FL. we're going in oct this yr and staying at POP. Have stayed at Carribbean resort b4 which is pretty but more expensive than the value resorts. We chose pop solely becoz we really need a place to sleep and shower and plus it's a disney resort with all the perks such as transport, magic mornings, etc - bubbaschoice  53.8 #87 3:45AM
Good choice! I love Pop as well :) I mean it is not an expensive Value resort (compare to AoA), and it is not that super crowded (like the All-Stars) - otilegna  1750.6 #67 9:24AM
