143 days til WDW! Is it really crowded during the Epcot wine and food festival?
It can be, like on Friday/Saturday nights for example. - CollegeDisneyKnowledgeGrad  935.1 #3 5:51PM
I can't wait for the food and wine fest!!! Especially the eat to the beat!!!*+.*+.*+. - CinderellaPrincess85  194.6 #41 5:52PM
It's more crowded on the weekends than the middle of the week but it's so worth going to! - Tinkerbell1265  442.0 #17 7:25PM

Hi there! My husband and I are taking the kids to Disney World for the first time this October. We've been to Disneyland dozens of times but we have no idea what to expect at DW. Any tips for newbies with two 5 year olds?
Welcome!! October is a great time to go. The Mickeys not so scary Halloween party is fun. Try to make a list of all the things you want to do. Take your time and try to take a break. Make your dinner reservations 180 days before your trip. Don't forget comfy shoes, sunblock and ponchos. - Ariel42  262.0 #25 7:55PM
We really want to do the Mickey's Not so Scary Halloween party. We have done it in DL but I heard its also really fun in DW. Thanks for the tips. - crazy4disney07  39.8 #4777 8:04PM

Sunscreen, refillable water bottles, if you don't have a stroller with you it's worth it to rent one they both can ride in. Little ones get tuckered out quickly in WDW and it's easier to push them in a stroller than to carry them. The Pirates League is a lot of fun. If your kids are girls, Bippityboppity Boutique will glam them up. Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin, Small World, Mickey's Philharmagic 3D show are great!! - Tinkerbell1265  442.0 #17 7:58PM
Take your time and realize that you won't be able to see everything on this trip. I don't think there's anyway to see everything in Walt Disney World in less than three weeks. With children that age, let them take the time to enjoy the unexpected things they see. Also, most of the hotels on site have lots of activities they may enjoy. WDW is pretty incredible! - ally  509.2 #11 8:50PM
That is true, I almost feel that way about Disneyland. I've been there a bunch of times but still haven't seen everything. Disney is so amazing that way. - crazy4disney07  39.8 #4777 4:55AM
Definitely bring your own waters. I use a backpack with a cooler compartment and I bring a camel pack (for water). I would do MNSSHP with the kids and dress up the whole family in costumes! Don't worry so much about rides if you do MNSSHP. The Halloween parade is awesome and character meet and greets are unique to the party. Check the weather just in case we get an early cold front which has happened before. - JetsamsTwin  379.9 #18 5:13AM
