Good evening MW! I was wondering if anyone here has used their DVC points to go on a Disney Cruise? My family put me in charge of planning our next Disney vacation, and we have never go on a cruise before! Looks like fun!

The cruises are fantastic, but it sucks up ALL ur points. Look into it and u will see it takes alot of points to go on the cruises. If there are only two of u it might not be too bad, but with a family u end up paying for tickets. - toogrumpy

The Flying Dutchman is at Castaway Cay. If you do the jet ski excursion they take you right past it, and our guide let us stop and take pics. They also take you out to a sandbar in the middle of the ocean which our guide said was in one of the movies. I'm not sure I believe it, but it's still cool nonetheless! As far as using our points, we don't as we like to use them for park trips, but, and I'm not sure if this is any help for you, they do have a payment plan. We like to do that and keep our points since in the long run it costs less for the cruise than 3-4 resort stays in WDW (which is how we prefer to use our points.) - Luckyducker

Hello everyone! Got to WDW on Thursday! Loving every minute of it so far! Tonight we went on the Illuminations cruise for my Dads birthday! It was AMAZING!!!! I don't think I will ever watch fireworks at Epcot like I used to after this! I highly recommend it! And, if you're an Annual Passholder, you get a discount! It will be a tradition in my family from now on for sure! Here's a picture from tonight!
