Also,planning doesnt usually work w/us because very little of what we actually plan works out the way it's supposed to. I remember it was EXTREMELY hot & VERY crowded one night for wishes. Ppl were literally on the lawns by the castle,that's how bad it was. I had my heart set on seeing wishes, but since I saw it before,I decided that it was better for us all to leave. The insanity just wasn't worth it. We ditched our plans,hopped on the monorail &had a nice little meal at kona's at the Polynesian. Well worth changing up our plans for the sake of our health and sanity. Sry for rambling all! Just wanted to share! I get excited about my Disney memories..sry:( lol - mickeynme

I try not to get caught up in the stress of the moments like that one, when it's late and everyone is tired, kids are cranky and everyone seems to have lost their Disney spirit...it's every man for themselves at that point, haha!! Not sure about the wait time glitch, but my app now shows as closed and in the Resources tab section if you drill down to the specific ride it shows it's closed for refurb and scheduled to reopen in fall. I'd advise a google search for a list of closures if there are specific rides you are concerned about.

One of the big differences I discovered it that if you embrace the right mind set you totally leave the real world and live in a fantasy land if you're staying on property. You never encounter the outside world unless you go to Universal or something. So restaurants usually offer something special like in character waiters or an experience, everyone is extra nice and knowledgeable, there's extra thought put into everything, you can take bthe bus everywhere and hotels are amazing just to check out all the details.
My fave differences are: Everest (amazing, worth the trip in itself!), all the extra magic hours if you stay at a resort (which I recommend for that reason, the amazing transportation, and the beautiful properties), and the Little Mermaid show at HS! And a bunch more! It really feels like you're in a private world there! - iwannaBAprincess

My favorite difference is that potc and BTMRR are longer and better at dl but wdw has more parks, test track, rockin roller coaster, and animal kingdom which only has one thing that is the same as dl(well two if you include the rainforest cafe) which is bugs life Epcot and Hollywood studios are also very different then dl and dca but ak has the most differences Also I like the wider variety of restaurants as resorts and the fact that is bigger but it's also nice sometimes that dl is small also it was a park Walt actually got to go to - nodell111

My favorite attraction, ToT is way better at WDW and the queue for TSMM is much better too. Of course DL doesn't have a World Showcase (best during the Food & Wine Festival). Finally, DTD is way better (& bigger) at WDW than DL. It's a destination all in itself! - CollegeDisneyKnowledgeGrad

I'd recommend quick drying clothes from a camping store or similar. Especially for your feet and underwear. Something to wipe water off your glasses too.

Keep in mind that if you are in an inside structure the signal will probably be blocked and you will more likely have to rely on the parking zone most apps also allow you to type in rather than just gps guiding. Many people take a picture of the zone.
