Thanks. Our last visit (DL) we had a lot of adults so we took 2 singles which was nice because they're smaller. But this trip is 4 adults, 4 kids so we know we'll want our double. She's only done DL so I'm trying to explain how much bigger WDW is and that it will be a whole week, not a day at DL. I get that double strollers are a pain, but kids that can't nap or walk all day are too, lol
I think every kid is different. Maybe they know he or she can handle the walking? - missmimi90  1381.3 #90 4:58PM
My baby is 2 year old and he fell a sleep everyday of our 17 days in august. They can always buy a over price stroller in the park. Lol - 5disneylovers  855.9 #4 5:03PM
With our boys, we had a double umbrella stroller that we used up until Jonah was 5 (our boys are small for their age), and it worked wonders for us!  Even now, I would probably consider renting one of MK's double strollers, and our boys are now 3 and 7.  It just gives them a place to sit (and us a place to hold our stuff when they want to walk) mostly and if they aren't on their feet all day, then everyone stays happy, including Mom and Dad, lol!  MK's strollers are very sturdy and hold a lot.   - mrsincredible  806.5 #5 12:21PM
We bring our double and plan to for WDW in January. And we have Brody sit in it (5 1/2 will almost be 6) for a good majority of the time so then he doesn't get tired and cranky. And he doesn't mind it. Sometimes even asks to sit how when he's tired. Brooklyn will be almost 3 and her too. We plan to have them in the stroller and I'll carry Blake in my ergo (he'll be 1). It's so much easier for the kids to have a place to sit and relax and not have to always walk and get cranky and tired faster - brodysmommy  334.6 #627 12:55PM

We always joke that we'll still bring a stroller when the kids are grown just to hold all our stuff, lol

This was a day or 2 after they filled the lagoon. The ride is closed so the water features aren't running. Normally there are lots of bubbles and the water visability is not this clear. - jacdanfan  6721.6 #7 5:10AM
It's so pretty now! I think it's because the water is still. Once the subs get going the colorful sea 'life' may be harder to see. Sure makes for great photos with the sparkling water! - goofygal  6605.5 #9 9:43PM

I fully believe planning isn't for everyone, but it's very much my favorite part. I love diving into every detail to really build the anticipation of the upcoming trip.
Also, I planned our fast passes ahead of time but sometimes they send you all over the place. We ended up only using one FP that we planned ahead for, and ended up canceling and redoing the rest. We found it easier to just set up the FPs there in the park along the way. The CMs were very helpful! And it all worked out great. 😊 - Sweet_Irish_Cream  3763.1 #25 10:01AM
I like to incorporate dining, meet and greets, and break times, too.  I catch a lot of heat (all in good fun!) for my quasi-military WDW itineraries, and to some friends I've shown outside this app, the amount of things on our list to them seems next to impossible for someone to accomplish all in one trip - but we always seem to check everything off and have the best time doing it!  My dogs always bark at me after a week at WDW, but planning really does make all the difference...  very well said! - mrsincredible  806.5 #5 10:34AM
I love to plan (everything) and my husband hates it!! So since we were only going to be at AK and HS for a day each I really planned those out exactly and he could live with that. MK and Epcot we didn't have as much of a schedule which was a good compromise for us I think. 😊 - MinnieMousewife  737.4 #212 8:22PM
This is what makes me kinda want to not go to WDW: my time off work is so precious, and daily life is so over-scheduled, that I just want vacation to be go-with-the flow. I guess, though, if you put the time into trip-planning, you'll actually be more relaxed while you're there--you don't have to stress out about what you're gonna do next, because you've already decided. It probably gets easier to do after the first visit and you have a better feel for the distances and rhythms of the parks, too. - Spoonful_O_Sugar  526.3 #335 10:09PM
It does get easier after the first visit, but please don't let the fact that it is your first time detour you from coming! You'll have a fabulous time, and we can help with any questions or planning advice before you go! 👊 - mrsincredible  806.5 #5 3:53AM
Haha, thank you! Hopefully we will get to visit sometime in the next couple of years! And I'm happy to help anyone with DL advice :) - Spoonful_O_Sugar  526.3 #335 7:54AM
I found I really enjoyed all the research and planning. It is important to have a good plan so you know what to do next, and you aren't running all over to find one ride is too long to go to another that's just as long etc. You set up some good touring plans and then while you're there it's a guide for you, nothing is set in stone. It does allow you to be flexible! That's my advise for anyone Plus when you are spending all that money and this may be your once in a lifetime trip, you will want to get the most out of it - wickedale  324.5 #670 12:50PM
Thank you for the advice--that is all so true: you should want to get the most out of it. I will try to look at it as I would look at traveling in Europe or something similar: the point is not to hang out and relax, but rather to explore and take everything in. (Relaxing is for Hawaii!!) - Spoonful_O_Sugar  526.3 #335 1:40PM
You also build in breaks for naps or swimming too!! Hit rope drop and tour for a few hours then back to the resort for a rest then back to the parks in the evening. I def looked forward to our rest times haha - wickedale  324.5 #670 2:53PM
