Hubby and i were discussing which of the 4 parks we'll visit on day 1 of our visit in oct. hubby says Epcot, me, i don't really care as long as i'm at DW, so the question MW's is 'Which park do you visit on your day 1 and why? I've noticed in the past few months via your posts AK seems to be the preferred park on day 1 followed by Epcot
We ALWAYS do MK on day one. Once we go through the train station tunnel, make the turn on to Main Street and first see the castle, we know we've really arrived at WDW. - EXP626  23.0 #139 11:23AM
For me it really depends on where we are staying, what park has EMH and where we have dinner reservations. In August the first park we went to was MK because we stayed at BLT and it had EMH however the first park we are going to this trip, will be Epcot on tuseday since it has EMH that night. - nodell111  159.5 #44 6:45AM
We always go to the one with emh - purplelooney  10.6 #215 3:32PM
We always park hop, so HS and MK are our first day parks. - Lelundrial  410.5 #444 4:54PM

If given the chance by DL or DW what ride would you ride non stop all day and why?
Spaceship earth. We ride it at least 10 times a day anyway haha. It may sound weird but it's so fun to my family and I and when we hit the burning of the library part we looove that burning wood smell haha sounds very weird - ariel116  74.2 #70 7:54AM
Haunted Mansion! I always find something I never noticed before each time I ride it! - justGoofin  128.5 #53 10:29AM
All day? SPLASH MOUNTAIN! As long as i have the Log Car by myself and myself only haha - otilegna  1565.7 #69 10:55PM
It would be rock and roll and haunted mansion - jeri814  97.7 #59 9:50AM

Flying with Delta ✈from LAX for our trip in october. Has anyone flown with them before to orlando? Also what's everyone's favorite airline to fly with to the most happiest place on earth ....WDW??✈✈✈✈✈
I've flown delta from Orlando to John Wayne. Never flown to lax, have no desire to. They're good. I have no real preference on airliner though - IndyandMarion  1181.0 #1 8:22AM
Had one bad experience with delta. Spent over 36 hours in the air port and air planes. We left San Diego and got to Detroit an flights started toget delayed. After two more flights made it to NC (never to Disney world) and had to sleep on the floor since the car rental was closed. Believe on high school trips we flew delta and it wasn't bad. Husband likes frontier. I don't like flying in general. - TinkTinkTink  187.4 #35 9:18AM
We have flown Delta, American and Continental (doesn't exist anymore). I like American, because they have the two seat side and I would always get that side. Although last time, I had to pay to put us on that side after they moved us. Well they are United now, but Continental was the worse. I don't blame them for the weather delay, that wasn't there fault. But they rushed to seat everyone on the plane and then we sat there for an hour while they loaded the plane. I don't like flying, and I have my special flight pills to deal with it. Now I am usually sleeping the whole time. - Lelundrial  410.5 #444 3:50PM
Didn't delta used to be the official Disney airline? In any case, I flew delta way back in 1993 and it was great, but that was back in the day when you would get a hot meal and a sandwich, lol! I've flown with southwest the last two times, and I've been relatively happy with it, especially the bag allowance, the price, and the flexibility. However, I did get my outbound flight canceled the night before and NO notice. If my friend hasn't been on the same flight, I wouldn't have heard in time to rebook. - bluefairy  641.9 #227 4:14AM

MW's I need your help, we booked our accomodation at pop and our park hopper passes on the 17th feb.. Which was fully debited on the 19th as payment. As we have never booked off the disney site before, firstly do you receive a mail package from disney in the mail or do u receive it upon checkin? Secondly, if disney does send u a package in the mail, how long does it normally take to arrive? We're in australia but it's been now 24 days and i'm worried it may have been lost. I'm gonna also email disney as well
Good morning great picture! They don't send it out right away. When are you going? - mmddgp  355.2 #18 7:36AM
I assume you booked a package? Your trip documents are not sent after you book & pay, but instead they are sent xx number of days before you arrive. I want to say its 30 days. Obviously they know you're in Australia, so they may sent international documents sooner. - CollegeDisneyKnowledgeGrad  746.3 #4 11:22AM
Thank you mmddgp for providing this info. 💐💐💐💐💐 - bubbaschoice  53.6 #85 5:28AM
Yes we are going to book tix to the mnsshp. As we'll b there from The 15 to the 29 oct, are any nite tix good or is it better to book it on a weekend if there's weekend tix? - bubbaschoice  53.6 #85 6:14AM

Just been surfing between mw dw and dl... Wow mw dl has changed which is upsetting. The family feel has gone and it reminds me of just facebook or twitter, some of the comments are sort of cruel too🙈
Our side is Family & Friendship !!! We all try to support each other & share in the good & support during the bad !!!! - skcanfield  463.7 #12 10:06AM
That why we strive to keep any negative comments and fighting out of our lounge. Since our side came online, we've only had three major incidences. And we hope to keep it that way. It is sad that the DL side has become that. I was a part of it in November 2009 and remember when it was like ours is now. - IndyandMarion  1181.0 #1 8:58AM
Yes it has changed. And someone still makes rude comments in the App Store ratings - E-Ticket  956.8 #134 1:36PM
I browse WDW occasionally and it's true, a lot less drama here. But I'm shocked that some of you state there is no drama or negativity in here...yet this post is both! MW DL side has a very large group of people and has to be dealt with differently. The occasional "googled" pic here doesn't stop the live photos, but when you have 5-10 a day, the live shots are buried. Yes, some can be considered rude, but in the vast majority of cases, folks are giving advice and the person seeing it misinterprets good advice for rudeness. When someone is consistently negative or consistently posts non-Disney photos, the warnings do get stronger. We also get a lot more trolls...but in the past, Admin used MWers to watch for them, unbeknownst to many of the regular users. Those people that left were a huge part of the success of MW, and it will become more noticeable as time goes on. There are still very active people on MW that have given bad reviews because they were angry with Admin. There's a lot that isn't known about what goes on behind the scenes. And a lot that isn't known about what recently happened. The best thing you can do is to not disrespect when you don't know the full story. - Gia  801.8 #169 6:33PM

I always see pics of celebrities at DL in magazines but very rarely DW.... Has anyone seen anybody famous at DW and if so who?
Gary senise, Steven Tyler, Joe perry, anyone who comes for Star Wars weekends, Dwayne Johnson. One thing to remember is the WDW has many more backstage routes celebrities can take when with their guest relations guide. So it's very rare that any of them are seen unless entering or exiting a ride. - IndyandMarion  1181.0 #1 9:53AM

Curious mw's what type of work/occupation do you's all hold and what would be your dream job in WDW? I'm a personal banker in a bank and my dw dream job would be to play one of the princesses', preferably cinderella... Love cinderella
I'm the Safety Manager for the facility maintenance department at the airport. My dream Disney job would probably be doing the same thing for their maintenance department. Except, I would prefer CA to FL's crazy weather. Great question! - CollegeDisneyKnowledgeGrad  746.3 #4 8:32AM

Looks like our time at DW will be during the food and wine festival in oct, so having never being there b4 in oct, what does it entail? Food tastings everywhere or in just epcot? Crowds? Different foods from different countries to try?
Love the pic. - 5disneylovers  718.5 #6 6:12PM
We visited last year during the festival. Lots of great food in extra kiosks around Epcot! I'm sure other people will have lots of more experienced advice, but I have one caution for you. It was 7pm and there were a TON of people, a lot of them very intoxicated. My kids heard a lot of very foul language and got bumped into and run over a lot, on our way out of the park. - brhimler  4.6 #448 6:17PM
WDW in October, especially during the Food & Wine Festival is my favorite time to visit! During the festival about 25 different kiosks are setup around the World Showcase. Each kiosk represents a different country or region and offers a few appetizer sized food items and a few wine tastings. Most items are priced between $3-6 each. I love walking around the World Showcase and making a meal out of it! It's a popular event and can get very crowded, especially on Friday & Saturday nights. Try going for a late lunch during the week and you'll avoid some of that chaos. They also offer a concert series and expo hall. It's a lot of fun! Oh, and the weather in October is perfect too! - CollegeDisneyKnowledgeGrad  746.3 #4 6:32PM
Crowds are higher & some get a little too much wine !!!!!! - skcanfield  463.7 #12 6:34PM

MW's i need your help, we're staying at POP and the Disney site states that only family suites have a small fridge, standard rooms don't have any.... But yet I'm sure I read last yr that the POP and ALL star resorts all now have them in every room? Can someone clarify what is correct?
We were at pop in jan and we had a normal room and we had a mini fridge. - Schramke  402.3 #15 6:07AM
We were at Pop on Feb. in a normal room and we also had a fridge. - bduncan  4.7 #433 7:08AM

As my family will be at WDW from 15-29, how do i get tickets for 👻MNSSHP🎃? And how much do they normally cost?
If you purchase in advance they are like $55.95 +tax for ages 10+ and $50.95+tax for ages 3-9. The price will go up if u wait until day of event. $62.95/$57.95 - disneycm  497.0 #11 7:50AM
Some days sell out so its a good idea to order in advance. You can call 407-w-disney and order them that way. I don't know exactly when they will go on sale though. Probably in April or May. - girlonfire  52.4 #86 9:01AM

Goodmorning and congrats!!! Not an expert but ave been twice mid oct to Halloween. Weather should be great and crowds should be lighter at the beginning of your trip and will be heavier as you approach Halloween. I hope you booked the mickeys not so scary Halloween party. That's about the time of year I go. The weather is perfect, low 80's and low humidity. The parks can be crowded, the Food & Wine Festival is very popular (for good reason) and there may be conventions in town. But, if you pick the right park on the right day it's manageable.
