Here are my take aways for those of you going to Food and Wine for the first time. It was good and I enjoyed the experience. It was a little crowded being opening night. At each food area they have 3-4 cash registers so the lines move quickly. I left wanting more of some items as they were that good and these are small tasting samples. I listened to the bands/music in Canada and England and both were entertaining. Finally I said hello to an old MW friend in Germany. Love Epcot!
I love the Food & Wine Festival! Avoid Friday & Saturday nights if you want to avoid the crowds. That's when the locals come to enjoy the festival. Also, plan a few visits to the festival (maybe 2 for dinner and 1 for lunch). That way you can try everything you want to try and go back for seconds (or thirds) of your favorites! Oh, and don't forget to pick up a passport before you begin so you can get it stamped at each marketplace you visit! - CollegeDisneyKnowledgeGrad

If I had been on an adults only trip, I would have enjoyed it. However we left at three because there were some folks enjoying their beers a little too much for being there with 5 young children. There was some rowdy behavior and profanity, so we left and went swimming, then to Downtown Disney. I think Saturdays at the first weekend of the festival may not be as family friendly as most Disney events. - ally

The mini Butchart Gardens! As close as I live to the real thing, I've never been. I always wanted to go during the holidays because I hear they decorate the gardens with lights! - CollegeDisneyKnowledgeGrad

Thinking about a surprise trip for my family in December-my wife would be first time visitor. I love the Poly and she would as well, however, I am thinking the Ft Wilderness Cabins with two teenage boys. Any MW reviews and thoughts? Thanks all.
Stayed at Poly for a week a few years ago and loved it! Never stayed at the cabins. - JetsamsTwin
