Disney travel offers an insurance option for your trip that will refund the amount paid on flights, hotel, park tickets, etc. obviously it does not cover the cost of the insurance. You can also buy travel insurance from most insurance companies. The cost depends on the cost of your trip.
I worry about that, too...even a year out. Surely they would refund your money or let you apply it to different dates easily enough. - mrsincredible  784.8 #6 4:03PM
Glad its not just me that worries about stuff like that! - ncjal  205.4 #34 4:08PM
Did u book online? I thought you could only book 6 mths ahead. - Disneyaddict  345.4 #595 4:34PM
you can reserve a room only up to 499 days out, then add or change things as you need/want to. - ncjal  205.4 #34 5:28PM
You can cancel anytime 45 days out or more and get 100% of your money back.  After that you lose $200 and I am not certain, but think 15 days out (or less) you get no refund?  The insurance just isn't worth it with a cancelation policy like that.  If you have something out of your control come up in the last 15 days I'm pretty sure you can change the dates. - DizneyGirl  568.1 #8 5:12PM
Thank you so much! I wondered about the insurance....but I definitely would not spend the money on it knowing the cancellation policy is that flexible! Disney is THE BEST! Thanks DizneyGirl!! - ncjal  205.4 #34 5:29PM
Policies can change, so when you book be sure to ask about the cancellation policy, but this is what it was just a few weeks ago when I called in. - DizneyGirl  568.1 #8 6:15PM

We just took the monorail into Epcot earlier tonight and I could see the entire entry way is ripped out. Lots of shovels and dirt and wheelbarrows around.
