Depends on what time we arrive. At your time, we would eat, take a nap, and head to the park that's open the latest.
We usually get in about 3-4 at the resort, so we often checkin, unpack, have an adult beverage and a great meal. - ally

Next trip and last trip we got there too late to do much but sleep! But if we only have a half day left when we arrive we do a dinner show, DTD, or MVMCP/MNSSHP depending on the time of year. - mrsincredible

On our last trip we took the red eye from San Diego and got in at 6 am. We were at our hotel by 7:30 and they had a room ready. We all layed down and slept for about an hour then got up and headed to MK. We took it real slow and had a relaxing day and then went to bed early that night and then got up early the next day to make it to open the next park. - mzdisnee

We just stayed there and I loved it! It is so peaceful. We never waited more than 15 mins for our bus. The food court can be far depending where your room is. I highly recommend the royal rooms if it is in your budget. You will not be disappointed.
I'm not a fan of POR... I'm a POFQ fan! Contrary to what everyone said, I find POR loud, loud, loud! Anytime POFQ shared a bus with POR the guests were so loud! I never had that problem with POFQ. I've the same experience in the POR food court, loud! The bus service is much better at POFQ too. On shared buses they are always the first stop. - CollegeDisneyKnowledgeGrad

I've stayed at both sides and llke them both. They are both peaceful and pretty. The FQ side is smaller and easier to walk to everything, but the Riverside has a nice bar/lounge area and table seating restaurant. - ally

We love POR! We love the grounds, love the activities, love the food court. The only drawback is that it's HUGE, so you have to do a lot of walking from one place to another. Buses come quickly, but if your room isn't near one of the stops, it's kind of a pain. I'd pay the extra to stay in a preferred room which would be closer to the bus and food. I hope you enjoy it. We've stayed there twice and enjoyed it both times! - BagGal

Thanks for the imput everyone! I think it's a good choice for us, we have a rental car so bus stops aren't an issue, even if we end up taking the bus, were already doing so much walking around the parks I'm sure the extra 20 mins a day won't matter! And if not.. He's strong... He can piggy back me 😉 - allieenicolee
