So, hubby and I were talking, and I was wondering; is anyone a D23 member? If so, how is it for East Coasters? Is it worth it? I know a lot of the events are in Ca, do we get any D23 love on the Right coast?

That's too bad. I was at WDW when they were doing a D23 scavenger hunt and it looked like fun, but if that's all we get for $150 a year or whatever you pay I think I'll pass. We are going to run the expedition everest challenge next year if they do it, so I guess we can satisfy our scavenger hunt itch that way. - Luckyducker

I'm a D23 member in Boston. Yes, it seems that it's geared toward the west coast. I joined last year...got a calendar with some great conceptual artwork and I get email updates. I'm considering not renewing...I'm kind of underwhelmed by the D23 experience so far. - Tinkerbell1265

Ok, I need ideas! We are going down to WDW for hubby's 40th bday October 5, and he has reluctantly agreed to wear an embarrassing t-shirt. Here's where I need help... What should I have printed on it? I want something funny and Disney themed that says it's his 40th (the goal being to have people wish him happy bday, which he hates). Any suggestions? We want something catchier than " it's my bday!"

Hubbys birthday trip in October is all booked but I have a question. When I made my ADR's it asked if it was a celebration. I filled out the info, but I'm wondering if they do anything with it or should I call? Its his 40th, and I want to make sure they do something special. Also, ideas of special things I can request at the parks? He wants to eat dinner on his birthday at Coral reef, does anyone know if they have anything special you can request for birthdays there?
I don't know if they do anything special (sorry =/) but I can tell you first hand the food is actually reaaaaally good there. Better than I had expected! And I'm sure they have special things! - Justplainal

Ask at the park for a pin or ask at your hotel( if your at disney resort) then remind them at check in to restaurant. They so different things for different restaurants - crazy4mickey

At DL, we said it was our 25 th anniversary and at checkin, they gave us an 8x10 autographed photo of Mickey and Minnie saying Happy Ann. Plus they gave us big pins to wear saying it was our anniversary. - ally

I hate the first day back to work post WDW.... But, my hubby's birthday is the same day as WDW's, so we are going back for his 40th this year. Yay!!
Stuck on Space mt. Unfortunately it was just after we loaded, so we aren't even in the ride yet. No cool walk out for me darn it! The lady sitting in front of me is freaked out and thinks the track must be unsafe. Obviously she didn't hear about the passing meteor shower...

Opinions on Ohana breakfast? We just finished it, and I have to say, I was pretty disappointed. Poor service and food that was not so great. Maybe the dinner show is better?

Question; what's the easiest way to get from AK lodge to the Polynesian for an 8:45 breakfast? I made the rezzie, and then realized the only way I know to get from resort to resort is go to a park and then pick up the bus to the next resort... Will we have to drive ourselves?

We'll be at wdw tomorrow night! Woo hoo!!! Can't wait although 94 degrees sounds a bit excessive. We get our passes wed night, thurs morning it's Hollywood and Vine for breakfast. Never tried it, so I hopes it's yummy.

Anybody going to be at WDW the weekend of 13th? We're picking up our AP's and playing for the weekend. Our first AP's! We couldn't drive to DL from Wa, but now that we're only 6 hours away in SC, we'll definitely be going more often.
Has anybody left their pets at the wdw pet resort? Our dogs are coming with and staying there, curious to see what others thought of it?
I'm not sure about the pet resort, but I have heard people talking about it on the busses and they only had good things to say. Sorry but we won't be able to join you there that week, that will be my first week of school....again ( yep 25 years old and I'm going back to college) have fun in the parks. The AP is one of the best investments we made. - skywalker
