Welcome! First of all, you need at least a full week at WDW. I'm a big fan of hopper passes, so you can make the most of every moment. Since you're DL regulars, concentrate your time on the things unique to WDW. Don't forget to make time to resort hop too! - CollegeDisneyKnowledgeGrad  395.7 #6 1:25AM

My kids first trip we went for 9 days. We felt it wasn't enough but we were there for star wars weekend. We didn't get to the water parks, DTD, or the boardwalk. If you go off season with no big events happening, I think 8 days would be good. - Disneyaddict  204.8 #1560 2:29AM

You need about 5 days to do everything unique to WDW. Resort hopping is fun and all, but since it's your first trip then I recommend skipping that. Also, if you come before March, be sure to see Main Street Electrical Parade. Wishes, Festival of The Lion King, and Lights Motors Action are also must-see's.
