Hello all...I have been around for awhile (though I'm more of a looker that participant) but I need some advice. This will be our 5th trip to WDW and we have always stayed on property...my concern this year is we have 12 people on our party and the $$$ is a lot for us to stay on property :(. We always stay on property. Has anyone had luck with staying off property and renting a house or condo to  More...
If you stay off property I recommend renting a car. We stayed off property this past August and I didn't like it. The hotel had a shuttle but it only went to Epcot. Which means we basically were hurrying at the end of the night to get from MK/HS back to Epcot so we didn't miss our shuttle. It was to much of a scramble for me, and just took away from the relaxing effect of my vacation. I don't know what your price point is, but we stayed at the Embassy Suites at 8978 International Drive. Rooms are clean, and free breakfast in the morning. There are also a decent amount of restaurants in the area, and a Walgreens within walking distance just in case. I could see the Contemporary Resort and giant golf ball from our room. - Lelundrial  445.3 #417 7:57AM
We are driving this year so we will have our own wheels. We will have to pay for parking, but this way we an explore more of property. My girls want to visit Gatorland when we are down there:) - PennsylvaniaMouse  3.6 #738 8:03AM
Hello and welcome. That's a big group and I'm sure you'll have loads of fun. It's great your driving Hope you find something inexpensive - 5disneylovers  775.7 #5 8:57AM
Twice we've stayed off Property in the family member's Time Share ($100 for the week). They had shuttle busses - you just have to plan your schedule on bus schedules. Or you could rent a car and pay parking. Everyone has a shuttle to Disney. We save a ton of money staying off property but enjoyed it much more staying on property. - Experiment869  152.7 #49 1:11PM
