So our first trip is in May for my husband, two boys, and myself. I have us booked for the princess room at Port Orleans and was wondering if its worth the extra money. I'm considering switching to art of animation to save money. any insight is much appreciated.
From what I hear people love the princess rms , I just had lunch at aoa I will post some pics, it was very nice and the food was good , has a lot of choices:) - tracsant  948.3 #2 8:02PM
I loved the food court at AoA. So much so I'd consider staying there. - DizneyGirl  598.2 #8 5:58AM
It was sooo good I had the turkey buffalo style sandwich and the hubs had the make your own pasta - tracsant  948.3 #2 6:09AM
It really depends on the age of your boys and how much time you're in the room. If you head back midday for naps/swimming, you may want a better/bigger room. If you're at parks all day everyday and just need a room to sleep, save the money - timonT  255.9 #25 8:25PM
We had originally booked at AoA, learned the free dining plan didn't include the Little Mermaid area, switched to Port Orleans Royal Room to take advantage of the free dining, and actually saved $2. With the free dining during our stay, it worked out better for us to go Moderate. :) - mrsincredible  806.4 #5 4:22AM
Worth every penny the property is a little crowed which makes for interesting meal times but the great princess rooms make up for all of that! Have fun!! - PrinceChar03131969  28.3 #123 6:14AM

Alright, I need guidance. First trip wdw in May and have no idea how ressies in relation to the dining plan works. Do I just make a reservation or is there something special I have to do?
Which dining plan?  You can call in or make ressies online via the website.  When your server first greets you he/she will ask if you are on the dining plan.  Nothing special to do regarding actually making the ressies. - DizneyGirl  598.2 #8 12:39PM
If its your first visit, plan what parks you want to go to and what day. There are great restraunts in each park, book ressies based in that. It's less running around and more time in the park. If you are traveling with children book characters dinning with their favorite characters they and you will love the interaction and reaction. That will mean a few less lines to stand in for pictures and signatures and mir time for rides. Any more questions just ask. Have a great night - mmddgp  411.1 #17 3:46PM
I have the one before deluxe. That seemed like the best one for the money. - talentedtoejam  3.9 #594 1:12PM
