We are coming to WDW for the first time in 2 weeks. Anyone have any hints or advice for newbies?
Hi , there is so much to do so don't get overwhelmed , are you staying on property? If so take advantage of extra magic hours which will be early morning or later at night , did you make dining reservations? Unfortunately that is pretty much a must , try to get lunch at be our guest it's a quick serve with 1st come 1st serve it starts at 10:30 so try and be in line at 10 , it's a great experience , if you rent a car try to resort hop , but no matter what you will have an amazing time:) - tracsant

If you are a frequent Dland visitor, you can skip things like Soaring, bugs life, captain EO, honey I Shrunk...they are the same. Other things like Pirates, HM, space mtn are different enough to enjoy. - mzdisnee

My first trip to Disney I managed to do every ride at least once in every park but it was not easy. First I took out a map and planned my route based on fast pass locations, ride locations and ride popularity. I allowed only 1 hour for lunch and 1 hour for dinner and we ate during off peak times. Lunch at 11 or 2 pm dinner we used the same system either at 4 pm or 8 pm depending on if we had an early lunch or not. Now with a route and hopefully you are getting fast passes early and getting 2 per area and toggling them. To toggle fast passes is to get FP for the ride you want then visit the less popular ones then move on to next area and get FP then repeat since you can use your FP anytime during the day.
If you can try Wegoshop or gardengrocer websites to purchase snacks and drinks to save time, money, and skip a lot of lines.
Epcot if staying on site go there on a nighttime magic hour so you don't get trampled by the people and stuck in a 30 minute exit line.
Magic kingdom the same as Epcot
Hollywood studios same as Epcot
Animal kingdom do morning magic hours and get there early and you might see the animal check ups and feelings. I got to see the lion chomping in steak once.
There is a lot of walking so wear comfortable shoes, drink water you want to be comfortable.
The parades in every park cause traffic so if you don't want to see them plan to not be near parade routes. However the parades are fun and different in revert park.
If you have any questions you can shoot me an email at skippybrown0@yahoo.com it's my Disney email - athica

The best hint I can give you is use your photo pass as much as possible. When you get home use the pictures to build a family calander much cheaper thatn paying for all photos and you get the ones you like. Have fun - Tammyeee
