Question: we received our luggage tags today for magical express, yay, but my mother and mother in law want to know what they do for their second checked bag? I honestly didn't think of them needing more than one each. We get four for us and that's usually plenty. I'll probably have an extra I can give them but if they need another, do I call and request more? Anyone ever have this issue before?
All you have to do is call, and they will send you as many as you  need. I've called for extras before. - ncjal  294.2 #28 5:17PM

So I woke from my first pre-trip packing nightmare this morning! Lol. I dreamed I woke up 15 min before flight was suppose to take off and I hadn't finished packing. I wanted to go get suitcases out right then. Lol. But I turned on tv a bit ago and destination America channel made it all better with Disney travel shows on. I sure hope the next 36 days/nights aren't filled with these horrible drea  More...
oh my goodness that is a nightmare!! I get those also.  - mmddgp  1063.1 #7 8:21AM
Oh no, I hate them. After I have them sometimes I have to go unpack and repack my stuff just to make sure it's all there, because I start to second guess what I have packed  - dxcmama  338.3 #26 8:43AM
Lol I do the same thing! To be honest though I have gotten to Disney and have forgot stuff.😁 nothing major but still - mmddgp  1063.1 #7 8:53AM
I txt my neighbor/friend that's going with us too she's usually the one who panics abou trips, she said oh no now you sound like me. Lol. I'm about to go pull out shirts from closet that I know we are wearing on trip and won't need before then and put in our trip box. I'm not a slacker packer club member so that part is not going to happen! In my dream I woke up at 4:15am our flight isn't even until 8am. Lol I can laugh now but I woke up almost in a panic this morning.  - txdisneymomma  124.4 #65 8:53AM
The waking up late part we have actually done, it's just a good thing everyone slept at our house the night before. We actually woke up at the time we should have been to airport we never got eight people up and out and car loaded so fast, like 15 min..... Then the hour and half drive to airport took us about an hour we got through TSA and to gate in enough time just to load!!! Omg crazy!!!! - mmddgp  1063.1 #7 9:22AM
Oh my gosh Gayle I bet that was nerve wracking!! I think I'm going to be setting multiple alarms this year. Maybe not next to my bed either. Lol - txdisneymomma  124.4 #65 9:46AM

Oh I meant to ask earlier, when we go in June we won't have dining plan. Our first trip without it. Can y'all tell me your favorite quick service places and some with big portions to possibly share a meal? Thank y'all!
here are my options. 1. I go to Pop Century Food court and order there (size is good pretty for 1 person, but it is affordable!); 2. I go FLAME TREE BBQ coz it is shareable! the big platter can eat 2 people; 3. look for a restaurant with good amount of side bar selection. i dont know the name, but it has sonny eclipse at MK. food is average, but i maxed out on the side veggies, which can help for your foood - otilegna  2783.0 #51 9:59PM
Thank you so much Angelito!! - txdisneymomma  124.4 #65 10:03PM
You're welcome Dwan. Flame Tree BBQ is the best bet for shareable food (the biggest platter consist of chicken, ribs and pork! With side of beans and cornbread - otilegna  2783.0 #51 4:51AM
Can I ask why you decided against the meal plan?  I'm planning a trip and thought it looked like a good cost savings option  - TiggersAndTinks  176.1 #2346 8:56PM
For us we don't do a lot of character dinning or high end dinning, we share a lot of meals so we actually save paying out of pocket. If you are interested in doing dinning experiences than you can save with the dinning plan. The quick service plan is convient but is not necessarily cheaper, you pretty much break even.  - mmddgp  1063.1 #7 7:48PM

We put our deposit down for our RunDisney trip today. Yay!!! I have a question I have never been to the Boardwalk and my friend and I decided we want to go there. My question is how much is there to do? We will arrive to Pop probably around 3pm, would that evening be enough time to check it out or should we go when we have more time? We plan to do Expo Thursday morning. Universal Friday, MK Saturd  More...
I think that evening would be enough. There isn't a lot to actually do but there are guys that perform along there(jugglers, magic shows). Really fun to watch. There are some restaurants along there and carts where you can get pizza, funnel cakes and margaritas. You can easily walk over to Beach and Yacht club. The whole area is very pretty at night.  - disneycm  711.9 #11 2:20PM
Ok thanks so much! We want to do cape mays also. Think we do Disney Springs when we have more time and Boardwalk the evening we arrive. - txdisneymomma  124.4 #65 5:03PM

Ok runDisney MWers, do y'all use rundisney travel agent? Website suggests it says buy package through them you will still have spot even if race sells out. This is our first rundisney event and both of my friends first Disney trip. Thank you for any input. I'm not as terrified now as I was before we started training. Today we averaged 16.40 min per mile, doesn't seem soo impossible now. Lol
Good for you on the time. I don't use the travel agents. I book everything myself. - Lelundrial  711.1 #282 11:33AM
I usually do too. But going with others and they are talking off property again and they want to do universal one day and go to MK one day and that's it! Madness I tell you!! Lol. I'm not going to universal, I'll tag along to AK with with one of my friends friends who doesn't want to do universal either. - txdisneymomma  124.4 #65 3:25PM
Do you all have to stay together? Also, have you guys worked out on how you are going to get to the races? We stayed at an Embassy Suites on International drive when we went to Celebrations VI. It was a nice hotel. Free breakfast, and they do offer shuttles to Universal and WDW. Major drawback with those shuttles. They only run two at night, and the last one leaves at around 9:10pm. Only picks up at Epcot, so no late night partying.  - Lelundrial  711.1 #282 4:44PM

^this is the hotel we stayed at. There are quite a few places to eat around there. There is an Olive Garden a very short distance away.  - Lelundrial  711.1 #282 4:48PM
Booking your race with a travel partner is only necessary if the race sells out. I always book everything separately and on my own (of course I WAS a travel agent).  - CollegeDisneyKnowledgeGrad  1450.4 #3 4:24PM
I was never a travel agent. I just like being as in control of my stuff as possible. I can read, I don't need someone doing things for me. Which is why I was mad I had to meet with an academic counselor to petition for graduation. I know how to read a course catalog and this isn't my first time.  - Lelundrial  711.1 #282 4:46PM
I'm pretty independent that way too. I even prefer the U-check line at the grocery store! - CollegeDisneyKnowledgeGrad  1450.4 #3 5:47PM
I'm super independent too, I would research and book all I can myself plus sometimes talking straight to a hotel gets a better rate and lowdown on amenities. I look at kayak or booking.com then I call and have them match it or see if they can give me better rate. Booking. Com has been exaggerating amenities and the hotel will NOT  honor their description of a room. But good to watch for deals. Just a heads up. My first trip with Travelocity years ago almost left me stranded in DC. So I also call hotel to double check my room and rates. But I hate the self check out at stores as I usually shop a lot all at once so I think the cashier is faster and much friendlier than the machine! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ - secretagentangel  6435.3 #20 8:24PM
Thank y'all! We are back to staying at pop again! Lol. I'm trying to just go with the flow but it's hard when I'm use to doing it all myself. - txdisneymomma  124.4 #65 6:54PM
Ok rundisney experts, my friends are really worried cause one of them read last years wine and dine sold out in 15min. I want to calm them down. IF it does sell out can we just book through rundisney travel agent and then still get registered for race? We plan to be at computer waiting for registration to open but I know sometimes with so many registering at once can be hard to get some websites to work right or as quickly as we need. Oh another thing she just txt us is they said we need an active.com account, is this correct? Sorry for so many questions, just want her chill out and quit worrying so much. - txdisneymomma  124.4 #65 12:20PM
Yes, you will need to login to your Active account to register. If you don't have one, it's best to sign up in advance so you are ready to go. If the race sells out, you can book a package that includes registration through GET Travel. When GET sells out, you can still sign up with Disney's charity partners (although you will be required to raise hundreds in donations for their charity). Bottom line, it's best to secure registration when it first opens. But, if for some reason you cannot, you have other options... - CollegeDisneyKnowledgeGrad  1450.4 #3 4:41PM
Thank you Tiffany!! Appreciate the info. - txdisneymomma  124.4 #65 5:06AM
Get your active . Com account and if Ap make sure it's linked to your Disney account. APs get early registration chance then if you miss that day you get second chance on regular registration day. You can find those dates by googling Ap early registration dates. Plus lots of tips on wine and dine. See if you can go find a race that e open right now, I believe the latest 1/2 to be offered at Dl is still open. Open the page, sign in, practice registering so you know the info they ask. If you need a minute to add your previous 1/2time, pick  the fastest time you need without prequalifying, you can change it later. Go through it all till payment then close the page. Also, Disney recommends you all register individually as then you have a chance to all get in. Have your card and everything laid out to register. Practice a week before in case of troubles with logging in as you can't fix it that quickly. If you don't get in, let us know and I'll tell you a charity group not to use and a couple things to watch out for.  hope they helps.😊 - secretagentangel  6435.3 #20 8:34PM
