Our of today's Park of the Day I've only ever been to and stayed at Port Orleans Riverside, formally a long time ago Dixie Landings.The Port Orleans resort brings you to Louisiana, and not just the bayou but the glitz and glamour of the French quarter (POFQ). There are two main sections of POR, Alligator Bayou where new rooms have just been renovated and the rooms feature a more southern feel and Louis the Alligator from Princess and the Frog. In this area there are beautiful walkways with a lot of vegetation and you truly feel like you are in a bayou. The glamour side to POR is the Royal Guest rooms (our new fave) at Mangolia Bend. The rooms truly make you feel like a princess, they are stunning with all the detail Disney put into them. The dining hall is somewhat centrally located and offers a sitdown restaurant, Boatwrights, or the food court Rierside Mill we personally love. The buses are shared with POFQ and can be a little time consuming so giving ourselves about a half hour to spare usually works out. The best part about POR and even POFQ is that it is so quiet and peaceful and just big enough so you can have alone time with your family and also see civilization as well. Definitely recommend POR

***PARK OF THE DAY*** Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach, also include port Orleans riverside and French quarter , Caribbean Beach and Coronado springs resorts , please give tips , advice and favorites , also curious about these parks as I haven't been yet, thanks :)
Well! When we take the kids we do at least one of them some times two. We use them to break up the trip so we will do two days in parks then a water park. We love them both. They open at 10 and we try to get there for 10 because some of the good spots fill up quickly. We like to find a spot close to the wave pool with some shade, that way you are close to the restrooms, lockers , and the main eating place. If we have the dinning plan we only take our swim stuff if not we pack a picnic lunch or at least take drinks and buy food. Really enjoy our time there. - mmddgp

I highly recommend at least an afternoon at one of the water parks.. We'd wanted to do it for a while and just did for the first time last visit. I understand how if time is limited that this isn't a priority. It is a great way to relax after a morning in the parks! - DizneyGirl

More POR Riverside photos. We like the relaxing atmosphere. Great food court, pool, comfy beds, mouse keep, and kids play area. Nice for the whole family. Large resort with 4 bus stops so you dont walk far from your room and boat shuttle for DTD was relaxing.

I have to say when it comes to eating at HS I never knew where to go. We like Sci Fi. I love the atmosphere of 50's prime time but not a fan of their food. This past trip we tried Hollywood and vine for the first time. It was good. We also tried mama melrose for the first time. That was so delicious!!! We will be making ressies for there again. I was shocked how much i liked it. So if your searching for a place to eat I highly recommend mama melrose. (That's where my collage is from) 😃💖
