Good evening MW family! I thought it'd be fun to do a little 'get to know you' post! What do you do for a living and why did you decide to do it? (share only if you want :))
Hi my name is Adam and puddy is a nickname my mum gave me when i was a kid. I live in melbourne australia with the love of my life you know as bubbas choice aka carol and our 5 year old son tyler. I work full time at a maccas restraunt as a manager and have been been for the last 14 years. We go to Disneyland every year but this year money and availability gave us the opputunity to visit wdw so we will see you all in october - puddy77

I've been a domestic goddess for over 10 years now, I couldn't have someone else raise my girls and was so lucky in being able to be the one to do it (I know not everyone has this opportunity). Just this past school year I started working at the girls' school as a school associate and LOVE being there with my girls and getting to know all the other kiddos too! - DizneyGirl

Hi guys, as u know i'm from melbourne australia, married to puddy77 and have a son called tyler who turns 6 in january and also starts school next year in february. Have been a Bank officer /personal banker / customer service specialist at the commonwealth bank which is australia's biggest bank here in australia. Joined may 1995 so over 18 yrs in the job where i started as a teller, then did cust service and then came manager but droped the position when i met adam and got pregnant due to the long stressful working hours. I Joined the bank as i always loved playing banks as a small child pretending i was the banker and plus the job allows me to assist my clients with their lending ( loans), investment, savings, travel and credit goals. The branch i work at now is based in a shopping centre approx 5 mins away from home and opens 7 days a week for which i work full time 5 days a week - wed through to sunday so my weekend starts on a monday😀. During my career it has given me the chance to travel the world which i did prior to meeting adam in 2006. In 2005 i travelled to europe and the uk by myself for 2 months and visited many great historic and fantastic countries but nothing has compared to my disney trips which started in 2001 and apart from the yr my son was due to be born and the europe/uk trips... Disneyland or disneyworld has been my preferred vacation of choice - bubbaschoice

I am a full time mom and Part-Time Registered Nurse in a Cardiac Step Down Unit. I originally wanted to go to med school but my dad told me I wouldn't want to go to school for that long. Don't tell him but he was right. I am so thankful for my career choice for the flexibility. I also love that it is so different everyday. I work 2 twelve hr night shifts a week and am so blessed to never miss any of my kids activities. I also have the option to work extra shifts to support my Disney addiction. - Disneyaddict

Having a blast at Disney! The kids are having fun! Just one complaint, why is the service at the McDonald's near the all star resorts so bad?
As i work at a maccas a thousand miles away i am sorry that your experiance was so bad and an insiders view is that not all people treat their customers with such disrespect and as you have to kids i hope you guys have a great time and dont let anyone take that away from you - puddy77

Just wanted to share this super fun experience with everyone in case you ever want to send postcards (or Christmas cards, etc) from Disney World. Before we left for our trip, I ordered some super cute Pixar postcard box sets from Amazon.com, "personalized" postcard stamps from Zazzle.com, and addressed and stamped them all from home (to save time). The day we visited MK, I took the postcards over to City Hall, right off Town Square to the left of the entrance. I was a little nervous as to how the CM's would react to my request to "Mickey" stamp over 75 cards for my fellow MW friends and family, but it wasn't an issue at all! In fact, and I wish I had written down their names, there were two CM's (a girl and a guy) that helped me and had the best time ever looking at all the postcard pics, guessing movie titles, ooh'ing and ahh'ing over their favorites, etc. They noticed the MW names eventually, and asked who all the people and Mrs I were. I gave them the low down on MW FL, and invited them to join our great group of fellow Disney lovers! It took about 15 minutes to stamp all the cards, and they were sad when it was over; they were enjoying it that much! What a great experience! I dropped the finished cards in the old-time mailbox on Main Street and the rest is history! So much fun... a wonderful new tradition for me for years to come! PS if you didn't receive a postcard from my recent trip, that means I don't have your address. TXT it to me and I'll get you added if you want to share in future pen pal Disney love! 💌

Thank you for telling us how our postcards got that Mickey stamp! I mailed my postcards (signed by everyone's favorite character) from Main Street, but didn't know to stop at City Hall first! Great tip about preparing the postcards at home before you left. For anyone that wants to get the characters to sign your postcards, I suggest keeping them to a minimum. I only did four (I should have done one for myself!) and it was a bit of a challenge to find the right characters to sign the right postcards. - CollegeDisneyKnowledgeGrad

FYI - you can go to the United States Postal Service's website and buy Disney-Pixar stamps. They are forever stamps. Two different sets.

So not only has this experience of working for Disney been amazing BUT I also might have met my dream guy out here who works for Disney and loves everything about it and knows the movie Pete's dragon. It's been a great beginning of the second half of my program.

It really was so fun to do this, and I think a big help , there is so much to learn about WDW that even those that have been a lot can still learn a thing or 2 , and I know personally I have terrible service in the parks and don't often get to share as many pics as I like that and I drain my battery enetering wait times , so it's nice to show some and give the tips or reviews I'd like to live :) - tracsant
