We went Thurs, 10/6. What they say is true about the park being less crowded during the first Mix and Mingle and parade, so ride rides, trick or treat and see characters then if that is at the top of your list. However, what they say about the second parade being less crowded than the first, isn't true, or at least wasn't that night. Mobs of people everywhere. Picture with the dwarves..the magic pics are on top of my list..but since you let me know I can do the magic picture in the afternoon..I will do that and get it crossed off my list..1 parade 1 mix..I have all boys and they don't really want to take pics of the princesses..Cruella and Maleficent would be cool to get..who else did you get to see? - justGoofin  104.2 #45 2:44PM

Go to the Dwarves line first, before the party starts. They bring them out right at 7, but the line starts around 5:30. We ended up being 4th in line doing that!! :). Yes, we got the magic pic of the ghost driving the carriage at the Haunted Mansion ride that afternoon. Ask the CM there for that pic specifically. As for pics of the villians, I would suggest that you watch one of the Mix and Mingles to see where the villians go for m&g afterwards. It is total chaos as soon as they come down. I wanted Cruella's, but when I got up there the first time, I was too late. They only stay out for about 15 min each time. The next time, I had hubby save my place for the parade and went up to Cruella's spot before the next show ended. I had to make my way thru a ton of people to do it, but got up there that time and got a pic with her. They go to the same spots every time. I have heard Maleficent is one of the favs so stake out your spot where she is (on the left side of the castle I think) right after the m&g's end from the prev show and you should be good. - mrsincredible  431.9 #5 3:00PM

We waited about 20 min for a pic in front of Cinderella's carriage, too, and hubby wasnt enthused, lol, but I made him wait since it isnt there any other time. :) @JustGoofin, you had asked who else we got pics with during MNSSHP besides the 7 Dwarves and Cruella -- Buzz, Woody, Jessie, Alladin and Abu. The characters stay out until 12:00, so if you have a fav and the line is out of control, go there about 11:30. We did that with Alladin and only had to wait about 10 min. I wanted a pic with Jafar, but never saw him the whole night. :( PS. I have all boys, too!! - mrsincredible  431.9 #5 3:33PM
