I grew up going to DL every year. I even turned my passion for planning every minute of my family's vacations into a short career as a travel agent & Disney destination specialist (hence CollegeDisneyKnowledgeGrad). I finally made it to WDW in 1998 & didn't like it! I compared everything to DL. But, after a couple more visits WDW became my favorite! Now, in 12 days I am returning to DL for the first time in 6 years (I've been to WDW a few times since). I know I will have fun, but I also know I'm going to compare everything to WDW! Isn't it funny how things come full circle?

I live in southern CA and an annual pass holder at Dland. I thought nothing could be better than where it all started. We went to wdw in 2009 for the first time and I fell in love with epcot. I loved being at wdw but the nostalgia of walking in walts footsteps gets me every time I am at dland. From the light in the apartment over the fire station to crossing the castle drawbridge I feel Walt and all that he hoped to create :) - mzdisnee  222.7 #21 10:28PM
I go to DL about two or three times as much as WDW, mainly due to cost. I do like other things in CA, besides DL, too. - ally  440.5 #4 10:32PM
