44 days and counting! Ordered light backpack last night. What are must haves for backpack in the parks?
Snacks, water, umbrella/pancho, hand wipes/sanitizer, sunscreen, light jacket, money, tickets, room key, camera. That's what's always in my backpack! - Andrea84

Thanks Andrea84, just saw your post. How wet is wet on Splash Mtn? Do o need to put my phone in a ziplock bag inside my backpack? - cdenib

I always put my phone inside my purse which is inside my backpack and nothing ever gets wet. Wouldn't hurt to use a ziplock also, I think most people use a ziplock when they keep their phone in their pocket. How wet can vary on your seat, etc, I have never been soaked but my face and hair always get wet! - Andrea84

Sunblock, hat, sunglasses, a poncho and bags in case of rain or water rides. I put my wallet, camera and phone in them to keep them dry. This last trip I also brought microfiber dish towels so we wouldn't have to sit in wet seats. They are so absorbant! - flyingpenguin

I always keep my phone & camera in a ziplock bag inside my backpack at the parks. Also any thing else I wouldn't want to get wet- daughter's autograph book, her sweater, etc. - perdita

We never Carry anything but a small crossbody purse like thing. Because who wants to lugg around a bunch of things you most likely won't use. I say do that!! It makes it easier on you and your family :) - maddielucy1524

I agree with maddielucy I always have all this stuff and we never use it. No one ever eats the snacks I pack. Only water. - Bakerjars

@bakerjars: that is so funny that no one eats your snacks. We pack an extra suitcase filled with snacks because my 3 boys eat a snack in every line. If we didn't bring our own snacks we would easily spent $400 on smacks for the week. But I do agree I cart around tons of stuff we NEVER use. Rethinking what I need to carry around for our January trip. - disneyrunmom

Water, poncho, sunscreen & lip balm, camera & phone. Everything goes inside a plastic bag or ziploc baggies inside the bag. - Tinkerbell1265

I carry a midsize crossbody bag. I don't put my phone in a ziplock bag; just inside the purse. I put my bag on the floor of Splash Mountain under my legs. We've gotten soaked on that ride, but my phone has always been fine just inside the bag even if the bag has gotten wet. It is somewhat protected under my legs. I wear Birkenstock sandals @ DW most of the time; if we anticipate doing any water rides, I wear crocs or fitflops which can take a dunk & dry in a blink. - SueBoo
