If Fedex is correct, then someone stole my mothers day gift from my son off the porch on Friday.
He sent me a Kindle3 and Fedex said it arrived at 1:00 pm Friday at my house. I was at work. It wasn't there when my son called to check. So Amazon is sending a replacement. I've never had anyone take anything before from the porch.

My son works for a medical software company as a software engineer/ architect. So he likes to get me things I would like, but hesitate to buy for myself. Last year he gave me my iPhone and I'm crazy about it. I've heard that the Kindle is also fun to use.

Yeah, my mom has the nook and she loves it. She says it's easier to read the a regular book, because you don't have to hold the pages down and so on - skywalker

No, they don't require one here, neither does UPS. Even when I'm home, UPS rings the doorbell, but they are gone when I open the door and I find it on the porch.
Sky, I read awhile back how you can "root" the nook and make it run like a tablet with the web. It disables the warranty though. - ally

I actually had the DRIVER that was delivering my replacement phone lie and put into tracking system that he delivered it, and that I signed. I called FedEx and told them nothing was delivered, and I was still waiting. 20 mins later a pissed off driver showed up at my door to give me my phone. So, it may not be that someone in the neighborhood took it. - CMsMom
