Where is a good location to watch illuminations ? And I mean a good location, I hate standing against the fence in world showcase watching them and then a firework shoots out from right in front of me in the ground.. That stuff scares me :(

Watch it from the Showcase Plaza. You'll have the pyro shoot from your left and right but it'll be a good distance apart from you. Anywhere else just starts getting obstructed from the trees. - IndyandMarion  944.6 #1 7:24PM

The last time I was at WDW I booked the boat "breathless" for my wife and I from yacht club marina. We watched the fireworks from the water it was great! - toogrumpy  101.5 #47 7:27PM
Here's what, I think, is a little-known secret: try the porch outside Teppan Edo. You're elevated above everyone else & the view is very good. We discovered it years ago when coming out of dinner, back when it was still Teppanyaki. - SueBoo  18.6 #133 7:37PM

I second rose & crown. Make reservations about an hour and a half before the show starts...show up about 15 min before your reservation and ask to sit outside. You'll have an excellent view over dessert! - lmahon424  103.8 #3031 10:19PM
