MWer of the day JacDanFan:)

What are the top 3 of your Disney bucket list? - tracsant  1027.0 #2 5:45AM
1. Try to meet all my friends on MouseWait at least once! We're looking forward to meeting you and Jay in December. 2. Fly like Tinker Bell over Sleeping Beauty castle, the first Tinker Bell Walt hired was 71 years old, so you're never too old! 3. Get back to you on that! - jacdanfan  7360.2 #5 6:22AM
Those sound great, though I would be to scared to wear tinks costume πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚and we are so looking forward to meeting you and nancy and Matt , I talk about mw to jay all the time and he's met some great mwers so he feels like he knows who everyone is too lol - tracsant  1027.0 #2 7:26AM
Good morning! Other than your April trip to Disneyland, do you have a favorite trip you took to a Disney park that really stands out in your memory? - CollegeDisneyKnowledgeGrad  918.7 #3 5:47AM
Yes. April would be tough to beat but other than that our first trip to WDW was simply magical. It had been a while since we went to Disneyland and it reintroduced us to the magic. In 2002 we did a 7 day cruise out of FL and decided to add 3 days at WDW at the end. We stayed at the Grand Floridian. Our first meal was at Narcoossee's while the fireworks were going on at the Magic Kingdom. Really magical. Disneyland built DCA in 2001 and we decided to go back to DL to see all the new changes. We were hooked, again! - jacdanfan  7360.2 #5 6:28AM
What is your favorite park - Tazhalo  72.8 #76 5:49AM
Disneyland. If you can't be in the park you love, love the park you're in! Really love Epcot, too. - jacdanfan  7360.2 #5 6:29AM
Love your response to this one!! I LOVE DL too!!!! - brittandkell  433.0 #436 1:18PM
What is your favorite ride and what ride do you stay away from - tomevans13  251.9 #27 5:53AM
Really like the Fantasyland attractions. Those are the attractions I stayed away from most of my visits and have now found how special they are as they relate to the movies and events of an earlier Disney. Rode Casey Jr. for the first time 2 years ago after visiting DL for over 50 years. It's a great attraction because you can also see the Storybook Land canal boat ride and a great view of the Matterhorn. I stay away from Space Mountain! Think it's because of the constant downward circular spiral that makes me a little dizzy! - jacdanfan  7360.2 #5 6:34AM
Space makes me a little dizzy too! It never used to. I've noticed since my MS incident, I'm much more prone to motion sickness. - CollegeDisneyKnowledgeGrad  918.7 #3 8:58PM
Did you love Disney growing up or was it something you came to love latter in life? And what attracted you to it? πŸ˜ƒ - Schramke  438.0 #17 5:55AM
Great question. Had a wonderful encounter with a CM last Saturday in Toon Town. Her name is Mary and she works in the 5 & Dime. We were discussing our love for Disney and growing up with Disney. I was a fan of the Mickey Mouse Club when growing up, Spin & Marty, Davey Crockett, the whole nine yards. My life revolved around the MM Club. When our family moved to San Diego in the late 50s I got to visit Disneyland in 1959 and have been a regular ever since. If you're a fan of Disney and live in So Cal, Disneyland is just a part of your life. We get annual passes and it's our entertainment for the entire year. - jacdanfan  7360.2 #5 6:44AM
Since I have only stayed at 2 resorts I'm always curious what people's favorite resorts are...so...what is your favorite resort and why? - brittandkell  433.0 #436 6:00AM
Tough question. Every resort has been our favorite because they are all so special. We've stayed at the Grand Floridian, Contemporary, Yacht Club, Boardwalk, Swan, Port Orleans, Coronado Springs, & POP. I really like the POP because it's affordable and we can stay at WDW longer! If I had a choice of a deluxe resort for 7 days or the POP for 14 I go with the POP. We've stayed at the Port Orleans many times and it is a sentimental favorite too. - jacdanfan  7360.2 #5 6:49AM
Have you been to all the Disney parks? If not, which one so you want to visit? - brodysmommy  365.2 #556 6:01AM
Only CA and FL. Would love to go to see them all. Tokyo would be at the top of my list right now. - jacdanfan  7360.2 #5 6:50AM
What's your favorite snack/treat? - brodysmommy  365.2 #556 6:02AM
Mickey Premium bar and popcorn. Nancy and I share a box of popcorn every trip to DL, a tradition. We sit under the monorail in Fantasyland at the old boat ride dock. - jacdanfan  7360.2 #5 6:52AM
You're so lucky to have an amazing wife who also loves disney! Did you meet goofygal in DL or did you realize after dating you both loved disney. Or did you begin to love it together? - ariel116  98.3 #63 6:04AM
Yes! No. Yes! Yes! Nancy is amazing. I grew up with Disneyland as did she. It's in our DNA. We have grown to love Disneyland even more together. - jacdanfan  7360.2 #5 6:55AM
Aww so sweet - mmddgp  460.8 #14 7:13AM
That's fantastic! - ariel116  98.3 #63 7:14AM
What is your must do at DL??? Is there something y'all always do on every visit? - dxcmama  242.6 #28 6:05AM
The one thing Nancy and I always seem to do is share a box of popcorn under the Monorail track in Fantasyland. Many of our trips are short, half day or less. I try to do something different every trip. Last trip it was the Mark Twain and the Disney Railroad. Also had a beverage in the Golden Horseshoe and watched the Revue. A lot of fun! - jacdanfan  7360.2 #5 4:56PM
If you worked for Disney, what would your dream job be? - Andrea84  648.7 #8 6:08AM
To be a Disney Imagineer would be unbelievable. I would like any position that interacts with guests in more than a "hi how are you way". Resort concierge would be cool. Tour guide. Or the Dole Whip stand. - jacdanfan  7360.2 #5 5:05PM
Have you always lived close to DL? Could you move away from the area? - DizneyGirl  658.3 #7 6:17AM
No. Yes. I tried to sell our house to move to Orlando after our third trip to WDW. I was an Army brat. Before my parents were divorced, before I was 10, I lived in Wisconsin, Massachusetts, Germany, Louisiana, and the state of Washington. Have lived in Southern California since the late 1950s. So I guess the answer is I would move if only closer to DL or WDW! - jacdanfan  7360.2 #5 5:08PM
How far are you from DL - mmddgp  460.8 #14 5:12PM
We live about 60 miles away, inland and south of Anaheim. It's a great location. We're about the midpoint between Anaheim, Palm Springs, and San Diego. About an hour from everything. - jacdanfan  7360.2 #5 5:27PM
Sounds amazing! - mmddgp  460.8 #14 5:29PM
I'd move to Orlando in a heartbeat. We could be neighbors :) - DizneyGirl  658.3 #7 7:43PM
Yikes, these are really good questions. I'll try to answer as many as I can before work but may have to finish up after work. Tracy's bucket list question has had me thinking awhile. I actually do have a bucket list, but most of it is silly, so I'll try to answer the best I can. - jacdanfan  7360.2 #5 6:20AM
What kind of work do you do? - 5disneylovers  911.6 #5 6:30AM
A bucket list is our dreams and wishes so none would seem silly - tracsant  1027.0 #2 7:24AM
What's the first thing you have to do when you get to WDW? - disfansince97  70.9 #78 6:21AM
Go to the bathroom, lol. We usually fly redeye out of the LA area. Many times we fly to Ft. Lauderdale, rent a car and drive up to Orlando. By the time we get there we're exhausted and hungry. We normally go to MK first and have lunch at the Plaza Inn. We try not to do to much the first day, hit some attractions at MK, then Epcot, then unpack and hit the sack early. - jacdanfan  7360.2 #5 5:12PM
Good morning so many great questions already that I was thinking of! Since you are AP holders and go regularly, is there anything you haven't done that one day you hope to? Have a great day! - mmddgp  460.8 #14 6:24AM
I've been on every attraction at DL and DCA at least once. There was only one attraction I didn't do in DCA that has since been removed after the makeover. It was called the Maliboomer. It shot straight up, came down, then up again. Seemed pointless. Think the throw-up shield scared me! Hope you had a great day! - jacdanfan  7360.2 #5 5:17PM
Lol! Sounds like tower of terror without any room around it or dr doom at islands. So do you wish you had tried it befor it closed? - mmddgp  460.8 #14 5:24PM
Yes and no. I should have tried it but sometimes common sense takes over. Hate that when that happens. - jacdanfan  7360.2 #5 5:29PM
If Disney offered a new magical experience where Guests could be any character for a day, who would you be and why? - CollegeDisneyKnowledgeGrad  918.7 #3 6:30AM
Mickey would be cool, because he's the Big Cheese. I think it would be hysterical if Nancy and I could be Chip and Dale. But I would LOVE to be Dug!!! Dang that dog is funny and I can do funny! - jacdanfan  7360.2 #5 5:20PM
Yes you can. "Squirrel!" - CollegeDisneyKnowledgeGrad  918.7 #3 5:34PM
I know your go to dl often but how often do you come to wdw? Do you have any favorite rides on the wdw side? How did you love of Disney begin? - 5disneylovers  911.6 #5 6:31AM
Our family has been to WDW about 15 times since 2002. One weekend trip for our wedding anniversary but mostly 10-14 day trips. Our last trip was in the fall of 2011. Yes, I have many favorite rides there. Tower of Terror is unbelievable. The best ToT ever. Expedition Everest, the People Mover and Carousel of Progress for sentimental reasons. Like the HM at MK too. Very creative and fun. I grew up on the Mickey Mouse Club, it all started there! - jacdanfan  7360.2 #5 5:24PM
Have to take a work break now, be back in 8 hours (maybe sooner if I can sneak away). - jacdanfan  7360.2 #5 6:57AM
Have a great day at work. I know it would be tough for me to work if I knew these questions were waiting for meπŸ˜€ - mmddgp  460.8 #14 7:14AM
tell me how important is MW for you?, what means happiness for you?, and friendship? What phrase of walt you really like? :)) - Hbrunelli  107.5 #59 7:23AM
Very thought provoking questions, Hugo. I'll start with happiness. To me it's a state of mind. It's something that cannot be bought, but can be given. One can choose to be happy or not, you have to accept it into your life. Friendship. I didn't have many friends when I grew up. We were constantly moving. I went to 4 different high schools. I have mostly depended on family for friendship. MouseWait. It's the only social media that I belong to. I do have a Twitter account but mostly to follow others (Disneyland Today, DCA Today, etc.). Occasionally I'll post a pix for fun. So MW has clearly been a big part of all our lives in the past couple of years. A really fun way to share Disney and get to know others. - jacdanfan  7360.2 #5 5:56AM
thank you very much for your answers!! - Hbrunelli  107.5 #59 6:09AM
Aww this brought tears to my eyes. This to is my friend circle only thing thats missing is face to face conversations or tangible hugs. But I feel so close to everyone here and in person I am very shy or backward till I get to know a person I really appreciate what we have here. - mmddgp  460.8 #14 6:33AM
If you could not ride one ride at DL what would it be...? And the same goes for WDW - lakerck  164.5 #48 9:52AM
Probably the Columbia. I like the Columbia but it is redundant when I could take the Mark Twain and do the same thing. Of all the rides I'd be willing to give up at WDW it would probably be Rock 'n' Roller Coaster. Fun ride but only lasts 90 seconds. Great queue, tho! - jacdanfan  7360.2 #5 5:42AM
Dole whip or churro ? - Hendizl  2520.5 #41 11:49AM
Dole Whip! Honestly, I've never had a churro. I'm still waiting for someone to "hand me a churro"! lol! - jacdanfan  7360.2 #5 5:35AM
Of all the Disney Parks, which is your favorite rope drop? - EpicDio  433.1 #435 11:51AM
Disneyland! No brainer. I imagine myself at rope drop running across the bridge, thru the castle into Fantasyland. Just like the boys and girls did on opening day in 1955. Of course I know better than to run in Disneyland. - jacdanfan  7360.2 #5 5:34AM
What is your favorite Disney item you have collected or been given? - ncjal  214.8 #34 2:03PM
Love everything we've ever gotten. I got Nancy a Romeo Goofy for Valentine's Day several years ago on e-bay, very cute. But my most prized possession is probably my golden ears and "I Was There" pin from Disneyland's 50th Anniversary! It was before we knew how things worked. We got in line to go into Disneyland at 3 am on July 17, 2005. There were already probably 30,000 people in front of us! We waited 8 hours to get our pin on a very hot July day. - jacdanfan  7360.2 #5 5:31AM
What does jacdanfan means? (Idk if this was asked before, im always forgetful) - otilegna  1830.0 #69 2:16PM
It means he's a raging alcoholic! Lol! Just kidding I swear - timonT  265.1 #24 4:54PM
I guess it means it's time for me to change my user name. - jacdanfan  7360.2 #5 5:59AM
When is your next trip to WDW? - Ariel42  261.5 #25 5:39PM
Wish I knew. Been a rough year for trying to plan anything. Just got a health insurance estimate from my company, our health plan cost for Nancy and I will cost anywhere from $1600-$2500 per month based on 3 different estimates! - jacdanfan  7360.2 #5 5:25AM
Oh my goodness that is crazy! Is that something new or has been high all the time. Have you looked into outside companies for plans. Good luck✨✨ - mmddgp  460.8 #14 5:50AM
We've checked everything! Insurance is going up and going to go higher at the end of the year. - jacdanfan  7360.2 #5 5:58AM
Wow. I'm sorry. I know if that was us we would not be able to afford that. Best wishes to you both✨✨✨✨✨✨ - mmddgp  460.8 #14 6:27AM
That stinks. I hope it works out for you guys. - Ariel42  261.5 #25 8:08AM
What is your favorite treat - jeri814  112.1 #58 5:50PM
Mickey Premium bars and popcorn. - jacdanfan  7360.2 #5 5:21AM
It was really great reading all your comments. Hope to met you some day! - mmddgp  460.8 #14 6:37AM
