I haven't been brave enough (& haven't been pushed enough) to ride this yet. Can you compare it to any other WDW or DLR attractions? How scary is it, really? - CollegeDisneyKnowledgeGrad

It's awesome! It depends on what you consider scary. Some don't like drops like tot, some don't like to go upsidedown like r&r coaster and some don't like the dark like space mountain. I don't want to give it away... what scares you? I love it all! - PixieDust76

@ College: Without spoiling anything for you, I would say Everest is similar in style & intensity to Big Thunder @ MK. We love both but we think Everest is even better. Go for it! - SueBoo

I love drops (ToT is my favorite) but don't care for R&R (too fast). Thunder is a classic and a favorite from my childhood. (BTW, I've already heard about the "surprise".) - CollegeDisneyKnowledgeGrad

When you go backwards, it feels like you go upside down, but you don't - C-Ticket

Well rode it when I was little and the aliens part I sweaaar I remember like it breathed in your ear and dripped on you or something and it just scarred me for life! ....=/..maybe I just made that up in my imagination lol...but I remember it was scary at the time.. - Justplainal

Al, that was Alien Encounter (which is now Stitch's Great Escape) that breathed and drooled on people. The alien on the Great Movie Ride just sorta hangs there, but I can still see why you were afraid as a child. I was concerned that it was going to scare my daughter so I explained beforehand. - PixieDust76

The Xenomorph in GMR used to attack from the ceiling but apparently the mechanism that would thrust it downward broke a while back (after I had left) and it hasn't been fixed. Doubt it will. There were a lot of things that we just left as is even when I was there. - IndyandMarion

AE was awesome. However, I can see why it was changed. Being that it is in MK. Not very good for kids. And some adults!! - Disneydad42
