I happened to run across this pic from 1985. It's my daughter's first trip to DL ( she's got the cat shirt on). As you can see, she's really into it. This was taken at the Carnation Cafe. This is the same daughter who I will be driving 5 grandchildren (her kids) with to WDW this fall. :) we can't wait! Has anyone ever changed resorts in the middle of a stay? Is it a pain in the neck? Or worth it?

We do it every trip. We start if at a value resort and the we go to AKL. You pack you stuff and go about your day. Go to your next hotel and your belongs will be there to greet you. Magic - 5disneylovers  774.0 #5 3:30PM

We went from riverside to French quarter last trip with no problem. Took our luggage to bell surface and took a cab over to the new resort did a new check in and went to the parks. When we got back we just called bell services and they brought theluggage right up! - girlonfire  52.6 #89 8:09PM

Wonderful pic! Changing resorts is pretty easy and Disney will move all of your stuff for you. The only problem would be if you had the dining plan, you would need to go to the new resort in the morning instead of anytime to pick up your new room keys. - Andrea84  625.8 #7 5:02PM
We are hoping to go when a free dining deal comes out. So you have to get a new card in the morning? - ally  506.0 #11 7:46PM
Yes, your first meal credits will expire at midnight the day you check out on that key to world card and your new dining credits will be on your second key to the world card so if you want to use those new meals you will need the new cards before you go to the parks. Just takes a little extra time to change resorts but you get to try out more of the resorts that way. - Andrea84  625.8 #7 9:17PM
