We may be lucky enough to be coming for a 5 day trip in Sept or Oct. We are probably going to do quick service plan. Any ideas fof each park? At the time of thr trip the kids will be just under 6 (girl) and 22-23 mos (boy).
First off dnt over do it take ur time and maybe dnt do all the parks . There is a lot to do at mk . Drink lots of water because it will be hot! Try to see the characters that is the best thing for kids and grown ups . Maybe try to do half days at parks so you do not get too tired . Eat at caseys in mk great hot dogs! The quick service is plenty of food believe me we always get the reg dining plan and its too much lol but we love the character dining. 5 days! Sounds like fun! I'd say take advantage of the extra magic hours especially mornings so you can grab fast passes and eat breakfast. MK is a must for little ones. I agree, take it easy and pace yourself. You have time to hit them all but the little ones will love it if you catch alot of characters and shows! Have fun! - Jalex239

@shews its not that warm in sept/oct! But it can get warm, so have water on hand at all times, check weather.com for the forecast. You may want to pick up a copy of the Unofficial Guide to WDW (library or bookstore or Amazon). They have a section on kids, and some touring plans for kids. You may want to take two days for MK, a day for AK(morning) and DHS (night) and potentionally not Epcot at all. For restaurants, we really like dinner at Pecos Bills (Mk) during electrical parade. Are you doing Mickey's Not-So-Scary halloween party? That might be fun for the kids! Any more questions just ask - C-Ticket

October is very nice but we have been down in September and it still gets pretty hot especially for little ones . The nice thing about October is the humidity is a lot lower . - shewsluvdisney

We are doing a nicer, longer trip for Fall 2012. We'll do the table service and character dining then. When we do that, we do quick service lunch. Some faves are Flamin Grill in AK and Pizza Planet in MGM. What are some of the other good guick services at the parks or resorts? Looks like we'll be at either OKW or Saratogo. - Disneydad42

September is nice it can still get hot last year we went in September it was cooler and the year before that it was just as hot as it is now - shewsluvdisney

Most of our visits have been Sept.-Oct. It's less crowded and not too hot. The only negative is that one of the water parks will be closed for refurb. Thanks for the Pecos Bill reminder. I'll check on the Sunshine. Don't think we've done that before. - Disneydad42

Tomorrowland Terrace... Is that the one with the animatronic dj/musician by the tables. We haven't stopped there for years! I remember going there with my neices when they were small. Our kids will love it. - Disneydad42

When I have gone to DL with grandchildren that age, its a whole different experience. Take the time to let them do some things at their own pace instead of hurrying them along to the next place. It's surprising what they find fascinating, that adults usually pass by. Also my grandkids liked swimming and an afternoon rest. - ally

During the deal, quick service is included with a stay at a value resort, or you can pay extra to upgrade. Regular DDP is included in moderate/deluxe resort. Even with upgrade to regular DDP, value would still be cheaper, but i say the few extra hundred dollars are worth it. Bigger room, on-site full-service restaurant, quieter. - C-Ticket

Qs in Mexico at Epcot is amazing, flame tree at AK, DTD has Earl or sandwich and Wolfgang puck express, both are really good. SSR only qs has sandwiches salads, nothing amazing, never stayed at OKW, but from both I would go to DTD for qs since they are close to either resort you may stay at. - Andrea84

Yes you can, the walk can take 5-15 min depending on which section of the resort you are in. There is also a boat to DTD from SSR. - Andrea84
