Hey all Floridian MW's ... I am in the process of planning a first time trip with m family to the east coast parks. I was curious if you guys could help pick a month that has decent low crowd volume and decent warm weather.... And if anyone had an extra park map of each park that would be most helpful in my planning. I would pay for postage. Thanks in advance

Welcome to the Florida sideπŸ˜ƒ Really any month is warm and ill let someone else help with the crowds. We go in jan usually beautiful weather and not crowed. - Schramke  410.8 #15 12:20AM
I'm from WA and I love the weather in October. Temps are still in the low-mid 80's, but most importantly, the humidity has died down! Welcome to the FLip side! - CollegeDisneyKnowledgeGrad  801.1 #3 4:41AM
We love October. You have mickeys not so scary halloween party, & Epcot has food and wine festival. Temps are great in October as well. - purplelooney  10.7 #220 5:40AM
Late Sept or early Oct would be a good time. If no one has extra maps you can order custom maps for free from the WDW website, which are nice to have. Happy planning! - Andrea84  625.8 #7 5:45AM
I'd go with oct for the 1st time , weather is decent, can't beat food and wine at Epcot , I have some maps from my past 2 trips in oct and dec if you want any let me know:) - tracsant  912.1 #2 6:26AM
I totally agree with the above. We go in sept and love it. We have gone in oct also and it is better at the beginning of the month, Halloween week is busier. We are goin in a few weeks and can get you maps. Happy planning - mmddgp  374.6 #18 6:36AM
I would say October as well for the weather... - islandgirl58  251.7 #25 8:13AM
Thanks everyone for all the great tips ... I was already leaning towards September and it sounds like I need to shoot more towards the end of the month now. - EdLovesAlvena  252.3 #1183 4:18PM
I've been in Sep, and being from the Pacific NW, I had a REALLY hard time with the humidity. - CollegeDisneyKnowledgeGrad  801.1 #3 7:03PM
Another question I have now ... Even though I feel guilty posting it in MW .... Do the Disney resort hotels offer shuttles to the universal parks? If not how do you get there ? Rent a car ? - EdLovesAlvena  252.3 #1183 4:22PM
No they don't. There are several options, mears bus, taxi or car rental. I believe a car rental is your best economical choice. You can rent a car at the car car center or at the Dolphin hotel. Depending on the time of year it can range in price from 20-60 dollars a day. - mzdisnee  435.0 #14 4:52PM
I paid to take a MEARS shuttle one time. Can't remember how much it was. Picked us up at the hotel. Hope this helps! - DisneyLisa78  41.1 #102 4:55PM
We have rented a car in the past but the past few years we used a taxi service. We go with 8-10 people and a passenger van comes to get us ( round trip with tip is about 90.00). We do that twice and it is still cheaper than renting a van. If there is only a couple of you going there is mears and the hotel desk can call and book that for you. I think it might be a little cheaper than the taxi. - mmddgp  374.6 #18 5:02PM
I would recommend renting a car or taking a taxi. The Mears shuttle makes multiple stops and can eat up a lot of your time in the parks. - CollegeDisneyKnowledgeGrad  801.1 #3 7:04PM
