I'm from California also. The first time I went to WDW I made a list of all the attractions WDw has that DL doesn't. I made those my priority. However, still check out their Haunted Mansion and ToT. If you can, try to stay on resort to get the magic hours. We always stayed for magic hours because the lines were much better for the rides. My parens LOVED Epcot and all the countries. They would prob enjoy Le Cellier steakhouse. Pricey but worth it. Another fun experience is Sci-fi Dine in at HS. Great cheesecake! It is set up like a drive in movie lot. Hi Nicole! I'm also from the DL side. Be sure to allow plenty of time for Epcot. Go see what you can't see at DL including Expedition Everest and Kilimanjaro Safari at Animal Kingdom; Tower of Terror at the Studios. You're going to love it! - goofygal  2335.3 #28 9:40AM

Hello and welcome! March is a great time to come. Epcot will have the flower garden festival and it is amazing, check it out. There are so many food venues there it will not disappoint. Hi there, are you staying on property? Renting a car? There is so much to do and can be a bit overwhelming , dining reservations are a must, the new fantasy land is beautiful , Epcot is my fave , just walking through all the countries can take up most of my day, but to me they are a must , drink tons of water , it can get be very hot a humid , if you are staying on property take advantage of the extra magic hours that happen either before or after park closing or opens , and since there is 4 parks , each has there must do plus dtd and 2 water parks , I'm not a planner so I just go with the flow and often find I get a lot done , also if you get a chance go to the boardwalk area it's located by Epcot and has its own entrance , it's a fun area/ resort to eat, walk and hang out at, good luck and have fun:) - tracsant  572.4 #3 10:03AM

Planning is a must for WDW as dining reservations fill up quickly. Appreciate the differences between DL and WDW and don't try to compare them and you will enjoy yourself more. Food suggestions: Wolfgang puck express in DTD, flame tree bbq at AK, Whispering Canyon at the Wilderness lodge, all are really good. Get a carrot cake cookie at the writer's stop in HS, caramel corn and caramels from Germany in Epcot, and a PB&J shake from the Fountain which is inside the Dolphin Resort on the boardwalk.
