hi all! my name's nicole and i have a face. i'm a regular over on the disneyland side but i'm venturing to the great big disney world at the end of march for the first time and wanted some help or suggestions! what are some most-do or see attractions/shows/etc? sorry that's such a vague question and is so different for every person but i would love to hear what you guys love about walt disney world! thanks!
I'm from California also. The first time I went to WDW I made a list of all the attractions WDw has that DL doesn't. I made those my priority. However, still check out their Haunted Mansion and ToT. They're a little different. ToT is a must. WDW is huge and can be overwhelming coming from this side, but making a list made it less overwhelming. Have fun! - Disneyaddict  273.0 #967 1:09AM
If you can, try to stay on resort to get the magic hours. We always stayed for magic hours because the lines were much better for the rides. My parens LOVED Epcot and all the countries. They would prob enjoy Le Cellier steakhouse. Pricey but worth it. Another fun experience is Sci-fi Dine in at HS. Great cheesecake! It is set up like a drive in movie lot. You sit in old fashion cars to eat! - Disneyaddict  273.0 #967 5:02PM
Hi Nicole! I'm also from the DL side. Be sure to allow plenty of time for Epcot. Go see what you can't see at DL including Expedition Everest and Kilimanjaro Safari at Animal Kingdom; Tower of Terror at the Studios. You're going to love it! - goofygal  5753.2 #9 9:40AM
Hello and welcome! March is a great time to come. Epcot will have the flower garden festival and it is amazing, check it out. There are so many food venues there it will not disappoint. See the shows parades and fireworks. Rides, well there are so many that are great! Have a wonderful time - mmddgp  356.0 #18 9:54AM
Welcome to the FLip side face! :o) - MomWithAJuiceBoxBuzz  956.0 #135 10:02AM
Hi there, are you staying on property? Renting a car? There is so much to do and can be a bit overwhelming , dining reservations are a must, the new fantasy land is beautiful , Epcot is my fave , just walking through all the countries can take up most of my day, but to me they are a must , drink tons of water , it can get be very hot a humid , if you are staying on property take advantage of the extra magic hours that happen either before or after park closing or opens , and since there is 4 parks , each has there must do plus dtd and 2 water parks , I'm not a planner so I just go with the flow and often find I get a lot done , also if you get a chance go to the boardwalk area it's located by Epcot and has its own entrance , it's a fun area/ resort to eat, walk and hang out at, good luck and have fun:) - tracsant  882.1 #2 10:03AM
Hope you have a free day for resort hopping, Boardwalk, and Downtown Disney. Enjoy your trip! - justGoofin  128.5 #53 10:57AM
thank you everyone for your suggestions so far! i'm going for 8 days (2 are traveling days obviously) and while i plan on coming back in 2014 my parents say this is the only time in their life they're going to go so i want to make the most of it. i've been working on an itinerary of must-sees and the restaurants to eat at so i can make reservations this weekend. i just wanted to know if there were little things that can't be missed or that YOU can't miss. a drink at a place. a certain pastry. a little known or relaxing place. feel free to throw more suggestions at me! - nicoleface  1746.3 #63 2:59PM
Visit what you can't see in Cal. Also try and resort hop , they're awesome !!!! Make sure you see Illiminations at Epcot & Fantasmic at HS!!!! Don't try and see& do everything because you can't !!!! Enjoy the magic !!!! - skcanfield  464.2 #12 3:51PM
Planning is a must for WDW as dining reservations fill up quickly. Appreciate the differences between DL and WDW and don't try to compare them and you will enjoy yourself more. Food suggestions: Wolfgang puck express in DTD, flame tree bbq at AK, Whispering Canyon at the Wilderness lodge, all are really good. Get a carrot cake cookie at the writer's stop in HS, caramel corn and caramels from Germany in Epcot, and a PB&J shake from the Fountain which is inside the Dolphin Resort on the boardwalk. Enjoy your visit and happy planning! - Andrea84  601.5 #7 4:55PM
thanks everyone! my family and i are getting a meal plan so we will get to hit up some awesome restaurants. we are also staying on site. has anyone stayed on site and exclusively used the buses to and from the airport and to other parks? do you know how long it took you to get places? please let me know! trying to see if we should rent a car, considering we're going during a very busy part of the year. - nicoleface  1746.3 #63 11:17PM
