If you stay off property I recommend renting a car. We stayed off property this past August and I didn't like it. The hotel had a shuttle but it only went to Epcot. Which means we basically were hurrying at the end of the night to get from MK/HS back to Epcot so we didn't miss our shuttle. It was to much of a scramble for me, and just took away from the relaxing effect of my vacation. I don't know what your price point is, but we stayed at the Embassy Suites at 8978 International Drive. Rooms are clean, and free breakfast in the morning. There are also a decent amount of restaurants in the area, and a Walgreens within walking distance just in case. We went with family in 2009 and looked on bookit.com. We found incredible deals on townhouses. I actually called the rental agency for the townhouse we wanted to book and they price matched. - DizneyGirl  354.8 #10 12:53PM

Twice we've stayed off Property in the family member's Time Share ($100 for the week). They had shuttle busses - you just have to plan your schedule on bus schedules. Or you could rent a car and pay parking. Everyone has a shuttle to Disney. We save a ton of money staying off property but enjoyed it much more staying on property. - Experiment869  24.2 #117 5:11PM
