Well . . . it's getting close to the time where I need to set a date to go home to WDW. We have again considered over winter break, which in 2013 would be December 22nd through about January 1st. I've kept my eye on the crowd levels and wait times and I sadly have to say I just don't think I can do it :( I'd love to see all the holiday lights again (it's been a long time), but we are spoiled going in September. We are thinking we should quit taking the kids out of school and now that I work for the school that's another problem :( This leaves us with winter break, spring break (done before, won't again) and summertime. I think we'd enjoy going for Star Wars weekends, my 10 year old daughter LOVES Star Wars . . . . so I'm thinking the last week of May into the first week of June (but we'd probably wait until 2014 for this). How many of you have been during this time and what do you think? Advice, etc?
Aww sorry your not doing the holiday, I wish I could. I have been leading into Memorial Day weekend and it was fun. It also is a very busy time but so much fun. We would go the week before to try and catch the flower garden festival also. You'll get to see the reminants of it. Have fun planning - mmddgp  177.9 #27 12:02PM

We've always gone the last weekend of Star Wars Weekend and it was great, not too busy (for Disney) and warm for swimming but cool enough to enjoy long days at parks! - ariel116  34.0 #92 1:57PM
Same boat here. Don't want to pull kids out of school, but can't beat the deals Disney has in Sept. or Oct. Can't stand it to be to crowded you can't move. - purplelooney  10.5 #191 3:06PM
I've been three times to Star Wars weekend and its really not as terrible as you'd imagine, except at the park with the Star Wars events. I can tell you more details, if you want to ask me about it. - ally  440.2 #4 4:27PM
We went for the 2nd week of SWW this year. It was also our first trip to Disney. I was crowded but not too crowded and hot but tolerable. My youngest son LOVES Star Wars. The 2 days we spent at HS were his favorite part of our 9 day trip. - nightmaresally  6.1 #299 5:05PM
We have gone to WDW twice the last weekend of Star Wars weekend. We left right after school on their last day of the school year. We went 10+ days both times. HS is busy because of Star Wars weekend, but everything else was ok. It didn't get crowded until The weekend after. My husband and I went in late may, right before the Star Wars weekend started. They were getting ready for it. We thought the crowds were very manageable but it did seem to get busy the last day or so with the Star Wars starting. But depending on how long you go maybe if you squeeze in a few days before or after to have lighter crowds that could work - brodysmommy  243.6 #1059 7:42PM
