So disappointed with TSA at MCO. Last year, Jonah got a POTC toy pistol after the ride in their little pirate shop, to take home with him, but it broke earlier this year (just plain worn out after playing with it so much). So, this trip, it was one of the only things on his wish list. We rode the POTC ride and he was so happy to get to pick out a new one, just like the one he had (pictured below). Unfortunately, TSA confescated it this time when we went through security (we had no issues last time). They said it looked too real to allow us to fly with it. Jonah was so heart broken - started crying right there in front of everyone and didn't understand why he couldn't have his gun back. Broke my heart. I promised him I would do my best to find one online to purchase for him when we get home. ๐Ÿ˜ข

We tried to carry on, but didn't have access to our checked luggage at that point (Magical Express took care of them for us). I didn't think to ask beforehand since we didn't have issues before. They offered to escort us to the Disney store to exchange for something else, but he didn't want anything else and we really didn't have time to go back through security again, it was so crowded. - mrsincredible  916.6 #3 3:14PM

That is RIDICULOUS!! I know they're trying to keep us safe, but that gun is OBVIOUSLY a toy! My 4-year-old students would know that was a toy! Poor Jonah!!! Call Disney mail order and they will be able to get you another one!!! I'll get you the number. Kate lost a pair of earrings she bought at DTD and I searched all over the Internet trying to find them. When I couldn't, Robert called Disney and they referred him to mail order. This awesome woman went to 3 different stores at DTD til she found them. We paid for them over the phone and she mailed them out. That's awful! Gary already posted about our incident. It was very upsetting! We have had other strange episodes with TSA at MCO. Don't get it. One time they asked me to give them a number from 1 to 3. When I said '3', they counted back in line - which was Gary, and pulled him out for a security check! Tell me how that makes us safer?
