Has anybodyelse heard that main street bakery is closing Jan 13 and reopening as a Starbucks? If this is actuall true I am not HAPPY! I was so excited to try it!!!
I don't drink coffee so I'm not thrilled to hear this. Why must you replace something that everyone loves. Just find Starbucks it's own location. God knows they got enough space. - 5disneylovers

I LOVE Starbucks coffee. I am a coffee lover for sure. So, i'm actually still really excited about this coming next year. I don't think it's all that terrible. I'm hoping that what they will do is just reopen it feauturing the new Starbucks inside the Main Street Bakery. But, if not i'm okay:) won't ruin the Disney experience for me no way, no how:] thanks for the info! - DesiBelle9

There is an article on the parks blog yesterday about it. The Starbucks in DCA at DL still has some Disney treats as well the typical Starbucks selection. Epcot will also get Starbucks in late summer of next year. - Andrea84

I just read that too! It says it will close for refurbishment and re-open as a Starbucks. Does that mean they will have some Main Street Bakery treats as well? I LOVE Starbucks, but I don't want it if that means Main Street Bakery has to go!!!! - BagGal

If its true I will miss it by one month,so I am very upset after seeing everybodies yummy desserts here!! I am afraid if it goes starbucks though prices will be crazy so they can have their cut of the money. =( - ccmom

The Starbucks at DL is really nice and the prices are actually not bad at all. I was expecting the same thing, being way over priced, but they are almost the same outside the park as inside. I don't remember 'exact' price but I remember buying a coffee there 2 different days and didn't seem to think it was too off. And you get an AP discount if you have one also :) - brodysmommy

Being from Seattle, I have mixed emotions about this. If the new result is a Starbucks branded MSB with Starbucks drinks (so desperately needed at WDW) but with MSB's food, it would be great! We had breakfast there twice last month. The yogurt parfait was the best I've ever had! The only thing that would have made it better was a REAL coffee drink instead of the machine dispensed iced vanilla latte (which was still way better than what I've had to resort to on vacations past)! - CollegeDisneyKnowledgeGrad

we have a starbucks at california adventure and their starbucks cups are sooooo cool lol i like it just cause of that and also because they give you big glasses oof water for free i think they have triple filter water . just saying - Hendizl

I'm glad that WDW will have real coffee, that Nescafé junk is nasty. Just hope they don't mess with the traditional look of Main Street. - TheDad

I am sorry, but I am thrilled about this. Could it possibly be that they will remodel and serve starbucks but keep the bakery goods. Disney needs to change over to Starbucks. I'm not thrilled with this. I don't mind changing the brand of coffee to starbucks and still having the disney coffee as an option,but hopefully they keep the main street desserts there that everyone loves so much (if they remove that cinnamon bun,i'm going to have a hissy fit...lol) I just hope that the outside still looks like main street bakery. Would hate to see a starbucks facade in the middle of main street usa at WDW...blech...i like to see the old-time stores and shops like it's supposed to be:-( - mickeynme

Oh and just read the article about this on the Disney parks blog(I'm excited about this) there will be a Starbucks in Epcot too, it says on the blog that MSB will close for refurbishment in January 2013 and reopen as a Starbucks sometime in early summer, also the Epcot location will be in fountain view which will close in March 2013 for refurbishment and will also open as a Starbucks location but in midsummer, they also said more Starbucks locations will be coming to dl and wdw soon - nodell111
