Have a question for anyone that might know. We've been on pirates three times this week, we've heard the mermaid music, saw the mermaid on the beach (I won't specify in case folks haven't seen that part yet) but we thought mermaids were gonna have a bigger part in the ride. Are we just not looking in the right spot or is the beach the only visible part?
When you hear the music (right before you see the skeleton) there are projections of mermaids swimming along either side of your boat. - CollegeDisneyKnowledgeGrad  394.9 #6 2:16PM
They did have the projections off one day we were there , but yes I will admit it was easy to miss- I thought it would be more as well . Look for the projections where the water bubbles up to the surface - LateforWonderland  21.4 #124 2:31PM

However I have heard that they were working on AAs for the grotto but it just wasn't working out well. Water and these AAs were getting along - IndyandMarion  913.9 #1 3:35PM
In the area near the skeleton there are bubbles, like something is moving, under water to the side of the boat. I asked a cast member about it last week and he said the skeleton, projections and bubbles are it, mermaid wise. - LilyBellesMom  15.4 #147 3:40PM
