Hi MW family I have a question...How young is too young to take a child to WDW?? My son is 2 and I have people telling me he is too young and won't remember it.
People told me 4 was too young to take my daughter she wouldn't remember it. But I didn't care we took her on her 4th birthday and I'm sure he will remember parts of it maybe not all. Also told them this would not be her only trip we are going back in about three years when her brother will be almost 4. He will have fun at 2 and you'll have fun experiencing it with him! Disney was much more magical through my child's eyes. Hope y'all have fun, just take tons of pics to remind him of trip. 😉 - txdisneymomma  57.4 #64 9:46PM
We took 2 year old grandchildren to Disneyland and while they have a wonderful time, they don't really remember it. When they went at 4 or 5, they remembered a lot more. - ally  440.3 #4 6:33PM
My daughter had just turned two when we took her on her first trip to DW. She remembers!! I'm not sure if it's due to a great memory, or the videos and pictures ... That we are ALWAYS watching or looking at!!! Lol :-D I think it's a personal preference. - JessiBelle22  77.9 #54 6:36PM
Absoulutly not! That is a wonderful age. I used to keep journals of our trips and the first time I took my oldest grandson is was 18 months. I remember witting in there that he may not remember this experience but I will never forget" it is amazing what the remember and to see there expressions even from afar is wonderful - mmddgp  178.1 #27 6:36PM
My baby was 3 months this August. Ignore those people - 5disneylovers  341.2 #11 6:49PM
Just do it!  We took our youngest at 7  months, her face lit up just like it does now at 5!  Do you not do any thing else because he is 2?  No, we still take them to the zoo, and other such places at this age, so why not WDW?  Don't listen to the nay sayers!! - DizneyGirl  354.1 #9 6:57PM
Two's not too young . They may not remember it , but I'm sure it won't be their last visit !!!!!!! - skcanfield  352.1 #10 7:20PM
You are never too young (or old) for a trip to any Disney park!! - Tinkerbell1265  371.2 #8 7:35PM
My daughter was a year and a half old on her first trip, and she STILL talks about her first ride on Pirates of the Caribbean (she is now 10 y/o). You will have a magical time no matter what age your child is. :) - LilyBellesMom  15.4 #145 7:44PM
Ahh ignore those people! Just make sure take a LOT OF PICTURES of your son. Document his trip over there. Cherish his smiles and laughter inside the park. Even if he cant remember it, the pictures will be his lasting memory of his trip. - otilegna  862.0 #106 8:26PM
No never too young my kids were 2.5 and 8 months for first trips. They may not remember but you will remember their little face and they don't need a park ticket. - Bakerjars  219.9 #21 8:28PM
I took my son when he was 18 months and no matter what the joy I saw in his eyes is all that matters! Wether they remember or not at the time it's pure magic to them and that's all that matters! - dadwholovesdisney  31.7 #99 8:32PM
Your never to young to go to wdw! I was two my first visit, my sister was almost 1 her first visit, and my other sister was only a few months old her first visit! There is no such thing as being to young for wdw in fact it's even more fun when brining little kids it lets u experience wdw as a little kid again! - nodell111  153.3 #37 9:18PM
Forget them!!!! I brought my 2yr old cousin lastyear and she couldnt talk then but she talks now and all she talks about is going back!!!! Plus my aunt and uncle love to bring their kids when their like 3 months! Haha - Boardwalkgirl  37.3 #82 9:18PM
I took my son to DL for the first time when he was 2. Everyone kept trying to tell me he didn't remember a thing. yet when I took him back at 3, he seemed to recall some things from the year before. - Lelundrial  341.0 #427 9:51PM
We took our daughter when she was 2 for Christmas 2011 and she still remembers almost everything. We are taking her back in February for her 4 th birthday as a surprise bc she ask almost everyday to go back to the princess castle! - bduncan  4.6 #408 10:08PM
Thank you all!! I didn't think I was crazy for wanting to take him at this age. :) Ya'll just made my day!! - Jarrard  4.3 #454 4:26AM
I took my son at 8 months and my daughter at 2 1/2 and she enjoyed it so much. Ur never too young or too old for Disney. - yessy  98.8 #48 5:49AM
No! Go!! You will both have so much fun! Start a memory book for him and put pics of the trip in it. He will love it and you will enjoy making it. Have a great trip. :) - Deppsfan  36.8 #85 10:37AM
I took my 15 month old and newborn grandkids to Disney earlier this year. We had a wonderful time! Just try to stick to their schedule as much as possible. We went early to the parks, left for an afternoon nap, and returned in the evening. It worked great for us. We took a ton of pictures, and now the 2 yr old and I look through them all the time. She remembers. Go, have a magical time, and enjoy the memories!! =) - eeyorefan107l  274.9 #17 11:08AM
