Hi everyone! Sorry to interrupt all these wonderful posts from the New Fantasyland but for those of you that have done character dining, which is your favorite place? How was the food, what characters did you see etc? Going to WDW in December and want to know which dining experience is best so I can make a reservation asap. Thanks in advance :)
Most of the character ones are a buffet with the usual food , carved meats , veggies , pizza , Mac n cheese ect , for dinner for breakfast the same , eggs , pancakes , French toast and lots of other yumminess , chef mickeys at the contemporary is really good , that has Mickey Minnie , goofy, Pluto and Donald , crystal palace in mk is good as well and Winnie the Pooh characters - tracsant  570.8 #3 4:19PM
Great food' - lghr  11.0 #186 4:54PM
Garden grill in spot was really good food and Mickey, Pluto, chip and sale came by our table twice. Cinderellas royal table has princesses and enjoyed that. Ad hear Ohana has LILO and stitch at breakfast, ad good food (had their dinner and was really good, will be trying the breakfast in feb) - TinkTinkTink  150.6 #38 4:13PM
For us, we really enjoyed all the character meals we've experienced, and that's quite a few. We really prefer ordering from a menu though, buffets aren't our thing and most character meals are buffets. My opinion is: pick the characters you'd like to meet the most and go there. - DizneyGirl  353.0 #9 4:16PM
Chef mickey's:-) I like dinner there but breakfast is great too. I don't have specifics on the menu because i haven't been there in awhile, but they have everything and cater to everyone's different tastes. Mickey, minnie, goofy, donald, pluto are there (not sure if they still have chip n' dale..i would double-check on that) Also, crystal palace is great if you love the winnie the pooh characters. Food choices are similar to chef mickey's. Both spots have excellent meal choices at the buffet for both breakfast and dinner. Chef mickey's is located at the contemporary and crystal palace is located at MK near the castle. Enjoy wherever you choose:-) - mickeynme  102.3 #45 4:30PM
We have done 3 places. All were for breakfast and enjoyed them all. Crystal Palace which has Pooh,Tigger,Piglet and Eeyore. Chef Mickeys which has Mickey,Chip,Dale, and Goofy. 1900 Park Fare which has Mary Poppins,Alice in Wonderland and the Mad Hatter. - disneycm  327.2 #12 4:34PM
Also, check on liberty tree tavern in frontierland. I heard it's cute because the characters dress in colonial outfits. Not sure how it is though because i've never been there. Heard it was okay - mickeynme  102.3 #45 4:36PM
Liberty tree is not character no more but food is great. In sept we did Hollywood and vine for lunch it was a buffet alot of selections and very good. Characters were jake from never land pirates , oso, handy Mandy , June from little Einstein s. great fun they have a dance party right in the resraunt. And we did garden grill at Epcot for dinner. It was family style dinning all you can eat. Mickey, Pluto chip and dale. Very good. Highly recommend both - mmddgp  177.9 #27 4:48PM
We have done Chef's Mickey for breakfast. 1900 Park Faire for dinner and Cinderella's Royal Table for lunch. Enjoyed the food buffet at both Mickey's and Park. Park was hilarious watching the step-sisters run around. CRT, I did not like what I had. My son liked his food. I would not go there again. - Lelundrial  339.6 #430 4:56PM
Any other input? :) - misseeyore  499.7 #238 3:19PM
Hello!  I had posted a comment that is now gone.  We have enjoyed all our character meals, which we've done quite a few.  We aren't big fans of any buffet (Disney or otherwise), we prefer a menu, which there are a few character meals you can.  My opinion is go to the meal that has your favorite characters and/or go to a character meal that is in a resort you'd like to visit and walk around, this is how we've seen so many resorts, by going to their restaurants! - DizneyGirl  353.0 #9 3:46PM
How come no one recommends Akershus??? I will go for Akershus for the princess character meet-up. Its cheaper compare to Cinderella royal table (but if u really want to see the interior of the castle, go for it)... Akershus got appetizer buffet though. - otilegna  845.6 #107 4:39PM
Misseeyore! Nice to see you here. I will add that you get a photopass plus card (its a good deal, and you and your sis loves pic so much) - otilegna  845.6 #107 4:40PM
Breakfast at Cape May at Beach club. Great good great characters. 😄😃😀 - lghr  11.0 #186 4:53PM
We have done Chef Mickey's, Crystal Palace, Donald's Restaurantosaurus at AK (which has now moved to Tusker House), Cape May, and Hollywood & Vine. Loved them all!! This time we are adding to our list: 1900 Park Fare (breakfast and dinner - different characters), O'hana's, and CRT!! :) - mrsincredible  402.0 #5 4:58PM
1900 Park Fare is wonderful!! So many character. - Deppsfan  36.8 #85 8:14PM
We really like Cape May for breakfast, Crystal palace was good. The Norway princess breakfast was fun but the food was not really my cup of tea. - TheDad  33.7 #93 8:15PM
We have done 1900 Park Fare for dinner. Chrystal Palace for breakfast and O'Hana for Breakfast. All were very good. - Pooh147856  15.2 #147 8:18PM
Just had dinner at 1900 Park Fare. The food was very good, Prince Charming & Cinderella were great, Drizella seemed to be the most interactive with the older children. - TheDad  33.7 #93 9:32PM
Thank you all for your input. I really appreciate it :) - misseeyore  499.7 #238 8:27PM
