Oct 6, 2012 5:00 AM  WDW Talk Land
Expanding on the 'meeting of the minds' theme from yesterday, let's play a game!! For the next several days, describe what you and your family have planned for your next trip. Today, is the "first day". **Sorry, Baloony, you can't play or interfere!!** I'll start... First day for us begins with an early flight, checking into a POR Riverside Royal Room, having an early dinner at the GF with Cinderella, Prince Charming, and her hilarious Step clan, checking out the fabulous GF Gingerbread house, then capping off the night with our very first MW meet-up and evening at the MK for MVMCP!! Your turn... Ready?! GO!!

Our first day of our next trip will be spent in the car driving down. Once we finally arrive we will check in to Coronado springs, and then meet our family in the park for our second cousins first time to wdw (they are ages 3-6) and know we are Disney fans. We have dinner reservations set up through our the week and just usually plan day by day and can't wait!!! - TinkTinkTink  194.7 #40 5:04AM
They are the perfect age!! You all are going to have so much fun!! - mrsincredible  921.3 #5 5:12AM
They are going to be so excited. They get there a day before us so I can't wait to get there and hear all they have seen so far. - TinkTinkTink  194.7 #40 8:00AM
We have a very very early flight so we will get to POR around 9am (ill make and post pics of the princess room) after breakfast I'm not really sure Sirabi74 is our social coordinator ill have her post gray question!! - PrinceChar03131969  29.6 #124 5:28AM
It's a great question not a gray one ☺ - PrinceChar03131969  29.6 #124 5:31AM
Oooh, I cannot wait to see pics of the room!! The outside looks like a mini version of the White House!! :) - mrsincredible  921.3 #5 5:33AM
Yes we are all excited too!! It's soo funny that you made this post because we just received an email about our first dinner reservation this Tuesday: Din at Hollywood and Vine and then fantasmic in the evening so we will be in Hollywood Studios day one!!!! - PrinceChar03131969  29.6 #124 5:57AM
You got it Prince Char...thanks to email We will be sure to hit Star Tours, Indiana Jones, and the Rockin Roller Coaster bc we missed those last time!!! - Sirabi74  11.5 #212 6:36AM
On our first day we will be finishing driving down(hoping to have stopped in at least SC by the night before) and then we will be checking into AKL!!!! We will probably go to our room and it will probably be around 3:30ish when we get there then we have dinner at Boma at 4:20(maybe later if any other ressies become available) then we will either go to a park of maybe go swimming - nodell111  166.4 #48 5:35AM
That sounds wonderful!! I can't wait to stay at AKL in 2015 with all my boys!! :) - mrsincredible  921.3 #5 7:10AM
Have you already planned out the whole trip and started packing mrs I? Lol! - nodell111  166.4 #48 7:19AM
I have every waking moment planned out, and written down in permanent marker, LOL!! I haven't started packing yet. Still trying to plan our outfits. So far, we have our 30th Anniversary EPCOT shirts for our EPCOT day, and thinking we'll do the Incredible theme the day we go to HS. But, still working on the other days. :) - mrsincredible  921.3 #5 7:23AM
Oh, haha, are you asking if my 2015 trip is all planned out?! Well, sort of, but it's all in my head, cuz shhhhh, MrI doesn't know about that trip yet. LOL!! - mrsincredible  921.3 #5 7:26AM
For the first day we drive but as we get there we check in at music resort and then go shopping at downtown Disney :) - disfansince97  71.0 #79 5:36AM
We typically do the DTD the first evening as well. It's a good start to vacay!! This year, we're shaking things up with MVMCP!! :) - mrsincredible  921.3 #5 7:11AM
We will start with an early flight from Okc via Dallas. We take the magical express and check in to the Beach Club where we will enjoy a club level room for the first time. We now RUN to Epcot for an Grand Marnier slush and some creme' brΓ»lΓ©e in France. Our daughter must have fish and chips. After a little walk around Epcot we will be having our traditional first night Cape May clam bake. - TheDad  83.3 #71 5:39AM
Haha, I love "RUN" - that describes every fiber of my being to a "T" as soon as I cross that gate!! I just can't help myself. My Dad's famiy is from OKC, we lived in Moore as kids. :) - mrsincredible  921.3 #5 7:12AM
We are in Moore. - TheDad  83.3 #71 7:27AM
Awesome!! - mrsincredible  921.3 #5 7:27AM
Is this a trick question mrsi? Um let's see 1st day finish last min packing , head out to airport then check in to Saratoga for one night being a last min trip we are having to hotel hop but we get to stay at GF for most of trip , but after check in well??????? - tracsant  1033.7 #2 5:40AM
Haha, I am secretly forcing everyone to PLAN AHEAD!! LOL!! No, not really... just missing WDW, and thinking about our upcoming trip. Helps to talk about it, haha. - mrsincredible  921.3 #5 7:13AM
As well as an excellent suitcase packer and laundry expert, I am also an excellent vacation planner/time manager. Yes, I'm further away than Nodell, but does will she pack soft soap for you? I think not. 😜 - BagGal  228.9 #31 8:22AM
Squirt, squirt!! ie, touchΓ©!!! - mrsincredible  921.3 #5 12:35PM
Our first day would be spent driving to AofA, checking into a family suite, and going to Downtown Disney for some shopping. Then we go to bed early, so we can get to MK in time for rope drop the next morning. =) - eeyorefan107l  280.2 #23 6:43AM
I love RD!! Unfortunately, the day we go to MK this trip, we have early ressies at CRT, so we'll already be in the park before it opens and miss RD. - mrsincredible  921.3 #5 7:14AM
An OMGosh-it's-early flight leaving the west, landing in Orlando & a ride on the Magical Express. Checking in at Pop Century, then over to DTD to unwind and look around before dinner @ Cap'n Jacks. The rest of the eve we finalize our plans for the MK the next day, and make last minute adjustments to our costumes for MNSSHP! (23 more days!) - LilyBellesMom  15.4 #181 6:45AM
That sounds like so much fun!! Our flight is early too, like 6am or something. I don't want to waste a second though. We won't land until around 2pm. - mrsincredible  921.3 #5 7:15AM
Yay, thanks for asking! We are going to go to the airport at 7am. Then, arrive at MCO, take pics, DME, take pics, resort, take pics, H Studios, pics, food, pics, Fantasmic, pics, Osborne Lights, and you guessed it, take more pics. 39 days 'til GO TIME!!!!! - BagGal  228.9 #31 7:05AM
LOL!! I love it. Secretly, I am a member of the Disney Paparazzi. It drives the hubs crazy. I just can't help myself. I want to remember every last detail!! - mrsincredible  921.3 #5 7:16AM
I go to the airport here at 4am meet BG and family at DFW then pose for pictures when she tells. I will take some pictures too : D - lala03  67.6 #80 8:32AM
4am, whew!!!! That is dedication right there!! If I could fly on a red eye the night before I sure would, but we'll leave out around 6am again from AR and have a layover in Dallas, so it takes us most of our first day just traveling, boooo!!! - mrsincredible  921.3 #5 10:36AM
4 years ago I went to Dallas the day before and then we went to DFW (in the dark) this time I will just take the early flight (in the dark) from here - lala03  67.6 #80 10:50AM
EXACTLY! I want to remember every detail too! My husband looks at me like I'm NUTSO when I take pics of our Mickey napkins or our stroller tags, but I'm trying to capture every second! I've already prepared my children... "Mommy has 2 new SD cards for camera. She plans to FILL them at WDW. Be prepared to smile and keep your complaints in your heads." πŸ˜‰ - BagGal  228.9 #31 8:15AM
We love you Lala03! Thank you for getting up at 4am (or earlier) for us!!!!!! - BagGal  228.9 #31 8:23AM
LOL! U prepared the children...hahaha - mickeynme  161.5 #50 9:46AM
Hahahaha!!!! I do the same thing (pics of rocks, frogs, whatever, as long as they're on property, it's fair game. Lol, I'll have to post the frog pic and tell that story. Lala, are you sure you didn't have twins when you had BG, and left me at the hospital??? That cuts me deep, Lala, that cuts me deep!! Haha!! - mrsincredible  921.3 #5 12:39PM
Our first day will start at church. After church we will make the drive from Tampa to Orlando. We will then check in at Best Western LBV. And we will either roam thru DTD or go to MNSSHP~ - Jazdaz88  66.1 #81 7:06AM
That's a wonderful way to kick off your vacay!! - mrsincredible  921.3 #5 7:17AM
Our first day was - Drove our last few hours. Arrived at and checked in to Animal Kingdom Lodge. Had lunch at the resort then went swimming.  Late afternoon went to Magic Kingdom.  Had dinner at Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Cafe, MMM! Enjoyed running around the park and riding our favorite rides :) - DizneyGirl  669.4 #7 7:18AM
I can't wait to check out that resort!! Are the animals always out? Where do they go overnight? - mrsincredible  921.3 #5 7:20AM
Those animals are always out, we even saw them sleeping( it's easy with the night goggles). - ginastuckey  35.6 #114 10:19AM
Oh wow!! So cool!! - mrsincredible  921.3 #5 10:37AM
We don't have a trip planned yet, but typically we take the redeye from LAX, check in at the Pop, then head to Magic Kingdom and walk around like zombies till we eat! Oh, that sounds so fun! Can't wait till our next trip! - goofygal  7308.5 #7 7:25AM
I love the zombie idea... I gotta figure out how do keep these kids awake, though, before we can adopt that best practice!! LOL!! - mrsincredible  921.3 #5 7:29AM
**how to keep, I mean. :) - mrsincredible  921.3 #5 7:29AM
That would be tough with kids for sure! - goofygal  7308.5 #7 7:32AM
That's a great discription"zombie" that was us our last trip in sept our first day was Epcot we started at 4 in the morning for flight to fl arrived at 930 check in and in park by noon and there till 10. It was a Telly king day and a little rough with 5 kids. But we had a great time. Nothing new planned 😞 - mmddgp  468.3 #15 8:39AM
Wow a zombie flight sounds fun lol! On our trip in August we got up at 4:30 am for our flight a me my dad one of my sisters were at mk until 1am! - nodell111  166.4 #48 9:09AM
We have done the red-eye before. My son and I were wide awake in the parks. Would doze off on the buses. - Lelundrial  478.1 #387 9:23AM
Our first day will be different for us this trip. We are driving this time so it will be a whole new experience. Our first day we will finish our drive and check in at pop. We will get there early so we can then head to mk and see the rope drop. We have lunch at the plaza restaurant and a late dinner at BOG. We will finish our day with magic hours until midnight. Then off to dream land we go. We will need to rest because starting the next morning my parents will be joining us and I can't wait!!😍 - Schramke  457.0 #16 8:17AM
That sounds wonderful!! - mrsincredible  921.3 #5 9:11AM
We don't have a specific time planned, but sometime in 2013, my daughter and I will be driving 5 grandchildren to WDW. Grandpa will fly in, so our first day will be settling in and picking up Grandpa. - ally  509.2 #11 8:43AM
That's awesome!! - mrsincredible  921.3 #5 3:53PM
It's a far off so its subject to change. Based on previous history we usually eat unpack and roam downtown. Have dinner downtown. - 5disneylovers  925.8 #4 9:00AM
That sounds fun!! I love to shop until I drop in Downtown Disney!! - mrsincredible  921.3 #5 9:15AM
First day waking up at 3am to catch a 6:30am. Finally revealing the surprise to my son that we are going to WDW for his 10th b-day. Mommy takes her special flight pills, and two planes arrive in Orlando around 4pm. Take magical express to the Art of Animation resort. Check in, and going to visit DTD that first evening. Back to the hotel make plans on which park to start off with the next day, then sleep. - Lelundrial  478.1 #387 9:20AM
I love surprise trips!!!! - mrsincredible  921.3 #5 10:38AM
Haha...love expanding on the 'meeting of the minds" lol..no balloony interference! Lol....well,we're not going for awhile:-( it depends who i go there with, but usually when i go with my family we take the earliest flight out. We then search for a rental car for about an hour when we get there.lol..then drive happily along our way to wdw property, singing along the way..lol..we check in or have them hold our bags until the room is ready and then go have a nice lunch at Earl of Sandwich,go shop for snacks and amenities for the room,go back to the hotel to see if our room is ready,go settle into our room and explore the hotel, then head over to MK and take it easy on main street,go on TTA,carousel of progress,etc..then go back to the hotel before the fireworks to get dinner at the foodcourt and get a good night's sleep (considering that we didn't get much the night before=)) Of course this is all subject to change, but this is the general idea..take it easy, take pics on main street,etc..lol - mickeynme  161.5 #50 9:37AM
Sorry for the long post btw! I get excited:D lol...great question btw=) - mickeynme  161.5 #50 9:38AM

When is your next trip? I love Pop!! - mrsincredible  921.3 #5 10:46AM
It will either be October 2013 or Jan 2014. Love the weather in Oct and kids want to do MNSSHP. But we have another Vaca in March 2013 so dont think We can swing 2 trips. - purplelooney  10.7 #224 7:22AM
In 32 days (πŸŽ‰), we will fly out from SoCal and arrive at MCO about 9:30pm. Since we are getting in late (πŸ˜’), the only plan is to check in to PoFQ, grab some grub and hit bed fairly early. - Shunasee  182.6 #2094 11:37AM
So close!!! - mrsincredible  921.3 #5 4:09PM

We will definitely check out the decorations at WL since we're having dinner at WC. We loved the decorations at GF last time, and I've heard that the ones at the boardwalk resorts are great too. I've already got them on the list, Lala. πŸ˜‰ - BagGal  228.9 #31 10:06PM

We are picking up the kids from school, we drive north to Orlando about 2&1/2 to 3 hrs. Checking in to SSR and we'll most likely eat dinner then take a bus to MK and enjoy some of our favorite rides, snap some pictures and catch the fireworks! I'm not a super planner like some of you pros so all this is subject to change! - JetsamsTwin  379.9 #18 5:49AM
Haha, well winging it is always fun too!! - mrsincredible  921.3 #5 5:52AM
