Just found out I am diabetic. :( Is there sugar free goodies at WDW?
http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/dining-with-diabetes-in-disney-world/ Sorry about the news. My brother is diabetic and it's tough for him. All Ears.net has some info about dining with certain diet restrictions. The goodies are around if you look! Hope this helps! - Jalex239

I'm not diabetic but have food allergies and my daughter has celiac (can't have gluten) and WDW is excellent with us. In fact it is the only place I feel safe 'eating out'. - DizneyGirl

Are you meeting with a nutritionist? I hope you will consider it. Sometimes the sugar free things are worst than the original form. I don't want to be nosey but there is some much to being a diabetic. I could not possible type it all here. I'm sure Disney has every type of diet under the sun. Wishing you all the best. - 5disneylovers

I'm diabetic and never really have problems putting meals and snacks together when at DL or WDW. Just like in everyday life you can learn to make smart food choices while on vacation. - chancesr

My wife and I had the gastric bypass surgery a few yrs ago so we are both have to stay away from sugar. When you make your dining reservation let them know about your diet and the will cater to what you need. You can also find healthy snacks at all the parks. - towmater1970

Thank you both! It does put a damper on my trip! But knowing Disney helps with these issues makes me feel better. - Deppsfan

I have noticed many of the TS restaurants offer no-sugar-added desserts. I assume you're not insulin dependent, but for anyone who is, they will refrigerate your insulin at the First Aid stations. - CollegeDisneyKnowledgeGrad

Disney is great with moat medical issues. I am also diabetic and require a pump. On our last trip my pump broke and I ran out of syringes. They were very helpful doing whatever they could do to help me. - Ariel42

Disney is absolutely fantastic with any medical issue you may have. No need to worry. Just let them know before your meal (and the server also often asks) There are many fabulous sugar-free options at restaurants,QS,and anywhere with candy, snacks, etc. They have many healthy snack options as well. Just ask when you're there if you're not sure and you'll be pointed in the right direction. Also maybe you can do a search online for sugar-free snacks and meals, etc. Disney is wonderful with every issue possible. So no worries! Hope that helps:-) - mickeynme
