Just found out I am diabetic. :( Is there sugar free goodies at WDW?

http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/dining-with-diabetes-in-disney-world/ Sorry about the news. My brother is diabetic and it's tough for him. All Ears.net has some info about dining with certain diet restrictions. The goodies are around if you look! Hope this helps! - JetsamsTwin  379.9 #24 1:34PM
I'm not diabetic but have food allergies and my daughter has celiac (can't have gluten) and WDW is excellent with us. In fact it is the only place I feel safe 'eating out'. - DizneyGirl  968.1 #8 1:39PM
Are you meeting with a nutritionist? I hope you will consider it. Sometimes the sugar free things are worst than the original form. I don't want to be nosey but there is some much to being a diabetic. I could not possible type it all here. I'm sure Disney has every type of diet under the sun. Wishing you all the best. - 5disneylovers  1160.9 #6 2:14PM
You are no being nosy. I appreciate your concern. I have seen a nutritionist. I just want to live on sweets at WDW. But I cant. Lol. I know sugar free can be bad but not sure how to enjoy my ice cream and dole whip and feel "normal". Thanks again for your concern. You made me smile and feel special. I read your posts and you are one smart Disney fan!! - Deppsfan  37.7 #125 3:43PM
Thanks. I'm a home care nurse. - 5disneylovers  1160.9 #6 5:53PM
I'm diabetic and never really have problems putting meals and snacks together when at DL or WDW. Just like in everyday life you can learn to make smart food choices while on vacation. - chancesr  245.3 #1452 2:59PM
Still not really sure of my options. This condition is si new to me. Great info. - Deppsfan  37.7 #125 3:51PM
My wife and I had the gastric bypass surgery a few yrs ago so we are both have to stay away from sugar. When you make your dining reservation let them know about your diet and the will cater to what you need. You can also find healthy snacks at all the parks. - Stitch1970  42.0 #118 3:11PM
Thank you both! It does put a damper on my trip! But knowing Disney helps with these issues makes me feel better. - Deppsfan  37.7 #125 1:42PM
Feel at ease, I assure you it is a great experience. If you know what you can have you can order off of the main menu or special menus. If you aren't sure or want something special fixed they do that too. At a QS you just tell them you have food restrictions and they will bring out the manager and they he/she will bring out your food when it's done. At TS the Chef comes out and visits with you. It's nice to talk to the people fixing the meal, then you know nothing is lost in 'translation'. - DizneyGirl  968.1 #8 2:02PM
I have noticed many of the TS restaurants offer no-sugar-added desserts. I assume you're not insulin dependent, but for anyone who is, they will refrigerate your insulin at the First Aid stations. - CollegeDisneyKnowledgeGrad  1450.4 #3 1:50PM
Great info! - Tinkerbell1265  442.0 #20 2:10PM
No insulin!! Great tips. TY! - Deppsfan  37.7 #125 3:46PM
Yeah for no insulin. So you are managing your diabetes with your diet and oral glycemic . Girl you can do this and kick butt. Don't feel overwhelm with the diagnosis. Take it in small portion. - 5disneylovers  1160.9 #6 5:52PM
Disney is great with moat medical issues. I am also diabetic and require a pump. On our last trip my pump broke and I ran out of syringes. They were very helpful doing whatever they could do to help me. - Ariel42  262.9 #35 2:12PM
Wow scary situation. Great that they were able to help! - Deppsfan  37.7 #125 3:47PM
Great info and advice. TY so much! - Deppsfan  37.7 #125 3:36PM
Disney is absolutely fantastic with any medical issue you may have. No need to worry. Just let them know before your meal (and the server also often asks) There are many fabulous sugar-free options at restaurants,QS,and anywhere with candy, snacks, etc. They have many healthy snack options as well. Just ask when you're there if you're not sure and you'll be pointed in the right direction. Also maybe you can do a search online for sugar-free snacks and meals, etc. Disney is wonderful with every issue possible. So no worries! Hope that helps:-) - mickeynme  178.1 #52 4:50PM
I'm diabetic my self and there are plenty of snacks that are low in sugar and that are sugar-free - firestorm64rt  42.3 #117 5:10PM

MouseWait COUNTDOWN for iOS is here! Countdown the days to your next Disneyland or Disney World trip with our images OR your pics! Your Countdown also displays on Apple Watch and is beautiful on iPhone 6 screens. Secure the discounted launch price for a limited time.

So from the looks of it, there is not even one app made for those of us on android. You know there are millions of people who do not own iPhones. Its kind of rediculous these days not to offer an android version of apps. Would love to help this site grow by donating, but I see no point in that when there appears to be no intrest by the app builders here to support android. I mean how about atleast a partialy functional app so we can feel that the android users are even wanted as a part of the mousewait community. I see lots of requests and sad posts about no android, but dont see any replys by the site to the fact that anyone is even working on it.I've checked back here every so offten to see if there is anything for android users, but never bothered joining until today.I just wanted to rant a little, and now I am done.Unfortunalty, at this point I think I am officaily giving up on mousewait. Thanks for reading  and understanding my frustrations ( i hope ) and please everyone........Have a Disney-tastic day!Mark - molney14u  0.1 #105887 11:05AM
I have an iPhone and an old droid. I use the old droid for wait times when my iPhone can't connect and it works fine. There's so many droid phones to have  separate apps for but I hope android makers would start using the basic same code and security but I'm probably wishing on a star for that . I miss my droid but a lot of apps don't work the same.  - secretagentangel  6446.6 #20 8:10PM
I have the countdown and I love it! - tree320  0.6 #0 9:26AM
Doesn't everyone have a countdown clock on the top of one of their pinball machines?  Unfortunately mine is blank because our DL trip was weeks ago :( - awhittle  0.0 #127523 10:15AM
That just means it's time to start planning! 😀 - AngiMouse  104.9 #3566 1:02PM
Ours is blank too with no plans anytime soon. That's why I come to ☺️☺️☺️ - DisneyMom13  312.3 #869 7:30PM
