@MRSI - I told both girls' teachers that we were going to Disney and that we do every year. The 4th grade teacher acted fine about it and said there were a lot of kids out about that time and that she felt the beginning of the year was the best time to miss school. The kindergarten teacher seemed slightly upset about it on a few occassions! Oh well, it is what it is. I felt guilty at first too, but everyone will get over it. I do the sick thing too, where I think "OMG they can't be sick, we are missing 6 days for Disney". So far, they haven't needed to miss any other days! Our school is very strict on missing and they make calls and have you come in for a 'visit' about too many absenses! - DizneyGirl  353.4 #9 8:59AM

We are taking my 1st grader out for 6 days, his teacher wasn't mad though thank goodness, I just hope I don't get a visit from the truancy cop....yup thats how they do it here in the sticks lol!! You miss so many days they send out the cop to check your child and your house!
