For those of you that have stayed at a WDW resort, did you call the resort itself or did you book through a travel site? I'm planning my vacation to WDW and I'm trying to get the best deal I can. Thank you for any input.
I've done both ... direct with Disney, and with a Disney travel agent. I think it depends how much time you have to keep an eye out for Disney special offers, etc. One year I was just way too busy, and our agent did it all!! But I'm a bit of a control freak, that I still had my hand in it still. But, I do prefer to do it myself, and book through Disney. Booking directly with Disney on their website seems the best, but you can also go with a Disney travel agent and they can help inform you of the current specials (free dining or % off room) and do everything for you with no fee. You will find the same deals whoever you use and if a better rate comes up Disney will adjust your package up to a month or two before your trip. Happy planning! - Andrea84  306.4 #15 2:52PM

I've booked through Expedia and through Disney. I generally start the airfare research once I get home from a WDW trip. Keeps me thinking positive & excited about my next trip. - Tinkerbell1265  372.1 #8 7:18PM
I've always booked my Disney hotels direct through Disney. Sometimes I book the hotel alone, other times as a package. Unless Disney is offering a promotional rate on their packages, it's usually less expensive to book the hotel separately. - CollegeDisneyKnowledgeGrad  395.4 #6 9:32PM
