Hi all! I'm planning a WDW trip and I wanted to get some feedback from those of you who have stayed at a Disney resort. Which resort did you stay at and how was it for you? Also if there's any tips/deals/discounts you guys want to add, I would appreciate that. Thank you :)
We have only stayed in the value resorts (All Star Music and All Star Movies). Many people love the Pop Century for a value resort. We have loved both of the ones we stayed in. They offer the Disney Dining Plan for free for certain check in dates. Enjoy! - poohbr1205  20.1 #149 3:13PM
We have stayed at CBR, PO, AKL all of the Valu( our favorite Pops). I don't think there is any bad resort on Disney property it is a matter of preference and budget. AKL was amazing. Discount wise if you have the opportunity to go in valu season it will save you. Having the Disney visa can save you on hotel and merchandise along with the annual pass. Booking through a travel agent or AAA also has discount benifits. Watching for specials that are announced can save you money on rooms and or dinning. Start by booking and just keep checking you can always change your plans around for the better deal. Have fun planning - mmddgp  355.5 #18 3:15PM
Hiya , it def depends if your going with a value , moderate or deluxe , I haven't been to any value and the only moderate was Coronado which was nice enough I'm a dvc so most of the ones I've been to are villas or deluxe , akl is beautiful has yummy food and with the animals it's an attraction but far away from all parks and dtd except for ak so you might have to factor that, the contemporary and Blt and WL are also beautiful with great dining and Awsome locations with easy access by monorail or boat and bus and also yacht club and bw are great an located by Epcot and hs , happy planning , feel free to ask away:) - tracsant  878.3 #2 3:25PM

Does anyone know how much parking would be at any of the Disney resorts? I plan on renting a car. - misseeyore  537.9 #293 5:18PM
I love pop century. For value resort. I like all the interesting facts around the hotel. I like the atmosphere. I love AKL the atmosphere is great. The animals. The rich culture. Mara and Boma great food. I also like port Orleans. Quiet and friendly as well. - 5disneylovers  719.2 #6 5:28PM
The best is the polynesian. Its pricey though - klperry07  11.9 #203 5:31PM
I've stayed at All Star Sports, Caribbean Beach, Port Orleans French Quarter, and Disney Institute (now Saratoga Springs). Of those, POFQ and DI were my favorites! I love staying in the DTD resort area. However, if I could have afforded it, I would have stayed in the Epcot resort area! Now I am DVC and have a whole new list of resorts to choose from! - CollegeDisneyKnowledgeGrad  747.4 #4 5:38PM
Have only stayed at Contemporary and the Animal Kingdom Lodge. Prefer AKL over the other one. Cont. way to noisy and I could feel the monorail going through. AKL, nothing beats the savannah view. - Lelundrial  410.5 #444 5:40PM
We've stayed at All Star Sports, Music, Movies, Pop Century, Port Orleans Riverside, CBR, the Polynesian, Contemporary, OKW, SSR, AKL. The All Stars share the bus route and can be a little noisy when busy. The deluxe resorts are more comfortable overall. Check on the free dining if you book a 6 night stay. Can't go wrong with the Poly for comfort, convenience and theme. The DVC resorts are nice. AKL is awesome! It all depends on your budget. - JetsamsTwin  379.9 #16 5:43PM
When I visited I stayed at Pop Century, which I thought was very nice especially for a value resort! 3 pools, shuttles, the themes were so intricate! We were basically there to just sleep and spend the whole days at the parks but I definitely loved it and would stay there again if I don't do a moderate/deluxe resort next time :) - SarahJoshDisney  77.8 #3610 6:39PM
Thanks everyone. I may ask more questions in the future :) - misseeyore  537.9 #293 12:50AM
Ask away we all love to put our two cents in!!! - mmddgp  355.5 #18 1:02AM
We stay at a moderate resort.. We rotate through them all every two years... About 169-189 a night.. We walk to stay at a more expensive resort like wilderness or animal kingdom but they are 330 plus a night - a huge jump... Port Orleans was my favorite so far - both! But... Next time I may try art of animation or the poly if I roll into some cash! My two boys want to stay at all star sports... Heard great things about it but worried about size!! - timon  12.0 #202 6:40AM
