If we can actually get up early enough to make RD what park would you pick to do it at? Magic Kingdom? We've never done it before!
I suggest MK! The train stops at the main gate with Mickey and friends as well as the Mayor of Main St. It's like an opening ceremony and a really cool and magical way to start the fun for the day! - Jalex239

Rope drop has some type of performance right? Showing up a minumum of 30 minutes prior to park opening? I want to go, but we are from a different time zone and we don't try to adjust our sleep or meals to EST, so getting up and being at RD at 8:30 would mean us getting up at 6:30AM (our time) on vacation? Just not sure . . . Maybe I"ll go by myself, I'm an early riser, leave the kids and hubby behind, LOL!! - DizneyGirl

We were at RD for MK once. Characters came out shortly after and we were able to see Mickey and Pluto out front for meet and greets. That was 2005 though, not sure if they still do that or not. - mrsincredible

MK!! No experience like it anywhere...early in the morning on main street and the music and mayor and castle is just magical:-) Good thing someone else said "rope drop" before me..i had no idea what RD meant and was gonna ask..Lol - mickeynme

I always try to each trip and it never happens, but we usually get to the parks 30 minutes after opening. MK seems like it has the best RD! - Andrea84
