Since we drive to WDW I buy the girls a 'gift/surprise' for each day of our trip. Last year I put them in lunch bags with the Tinkerbell crew on them and they opened one per day, things like: a trading pin, a vinylmation, a autograph book, etc. This year I'm only doing it on the days we are actually on the road, there's so many exciting things at WDW there's no need to have them for days during our stay. So today, I bought a DS game for the trip there and another for the way home (got GREAT deals on eBay!). I've also gotten them Muppet vinylmations! Anyone got another ideas?

I like your car idea! On long car trips, my girls earn a dollar for each hour there is no complainin or whining. Then, when we get to our destination, they have a little more spending $. Now, they don't complain and I don't even have to remind them. :) - BagGal  340.9 #25 8:58AM
Good idea!! I love how u ladies think! Lol - mickeynme  177.5 #52 11:35AM
WHY HAVE I NOT THOUGHT OF THAT YET!?? This is the best idea I have heard! TOTALLY using this next trip! - ncjal  288.4 #28 2:40PM
That's a great idea!! Here's our kid money plan: Tell the kids they can buy ONE thing each day of the trip, BUT they have to carry whatever it is, and it can't be over $25. It really forces them to think about their purchases through, and keeps them from begging for things all day long. :) - mrsincredible  1189.7 #5 2:51PM
Thanks girlies! I figure we're going to give them a little extra spending $ anyway, why not entice them to keep their complaining in their cute little heads? :) :) - BagGal  340.9 #25 4:14PM
Disney activity or coloring books to keep them busy in the car, travel size games and card games, or a coupon for a Disney treat of their choice. I'm sure your girls love their surprise! - Andrea84  713.9 #10 2:25PM
Great ideas! Activity books, I'm doing that one for sure!! - DizneyGirl  935.6 #8 2:33PM
I did that for the plane ride. My son loved it!  - disneyworldsbiggestfan  65.6 #91 2:25PM
We are doing a gift pre-Disney this year for the first time!  Since we are expected for dinner at 1900 Park Fare within a few hours of landing and will need an autograph book right away, I decided to just give them a gift ahead of time...  an official 2012 black Disney drawstring bag (that I plan to have monogramed with their names!), pin lanyard with starter pins (will add the ones you sent as well, yay!!), Mickey and Minnie wooden bobble head pens, fun Disney themed snacks for the plane, AND this year I created their very own personalized digital autograph books from blurb.com.  I can't wait to get them in later this week - they will be so fun and unique, I will post pics as soon as we get them.  :) - mrsincredible  1189.7 #5 2:30PM
You never seize to amaze me mrsi!! What a great idea :) I actually ordered 4X5 sprial bound scrapbooks from Joannes and was going to decorate the front using my Cricut for autograph books, but Joannes sent me an email saying they were out of them :( BOO, HISS! - DizneyGirl  935.6 #8 2:35PM
I'll go ahead and post using pics from the computer! :) - mrsincredible  1189.7 #5 2:53PM
Boo and hiss is right!! Ugh, don't you hate out of stocks?! :( - mrsincredible  1189.7 #5 5:24PM
Love your drawstring bag idea!!! We alway make our own autograph books and our own scrapbooks after. I always get stuck carrying the autograph books though. I think I'll get some kind of bag so the girls can carry their own. Genius! - BagGal  340.9 #25 9:00AM
Yep!! Go online, I got the little black lightweight drawstring official Disney 2012 bags, and since they are identical, I'll have them monogrammed (to keep the fighting to a minimum - "That's MINE!!" "Nuh uh, it's MINE!!", ha!!) It will probably draw some attention from the CM's as well - the kids will love it!! :) - mrsincredible  1189.7 #5 2:49PM
@dizneygirl if you have a deals store by you I bought some bound notebooks in that size for $1 a piece today - ccmom  187.5 #47 7:07PM
Thanks! - DizneyGirl  935.6 #8 7:47PM

That's a great idea. - 5disneylovers  1152.5 #6 9:16PM
Fun! I do the little gifts too, one each day. Last trip I gave my girls a Minnie necklace, a pin, some Minnie lip gloss, etc, etc. My mom comes with us and she can't resist giving them little gifts too. The girls had so much fun with the surprises we gave them, they didn't ask to buy anything at any of the shops until the last day we were there. - BagGal  340.9 #25 8:55AM
SOOO fun!! - mrsincredible  1189.7 #5 2:50PM
