Is it her overall behavior or just the difficulty in learning /reading? My daughter transposes letters (normal thru 2nd grade), has trouble focusing, doesn't enjoy reading. I had to change the way we did things. She reads 2x a day for shorter periods of time. I question what she has read after every 1-2 sentences, and give a lot of positive reinforcement. It made a difference! She is doing way better. Your baby may learn differently and that's ok. I would try everything you can before putting her on meds. Research different ways of learning or have her tested for dyslexia. If she is dyslexic, she can learn in different ways and become a successful adult! Don't worry! I'm sorry you're going through such a difficult time right now. Your daughter is very cute! I wish I knew more about this topic but I don't. Thanks for the advice, we are not going to meds for now my doctor who doesn't even advocate to use Tylenol unless you really really have to, wants to wait till school starts and see her new teacher sees. I have had her eyes checked and cut out foods also. Mia is very smart but she can't seem to remember a thing becouse she won't focus when your talking to her. I was hoping she would grow out of it but seems to be getting worse. I pulled her out of a great school and moved houses to a diffent school to see if she can get different teaching there. We work really hard with to help her stay with the class and it seems it isn't showing. My 2 yr is just very clever and to be fair she loves to learn and "homework" so it's diffent for her and they are not the same person and I never try and make them but it hurts Mia's feelings when she sees Izzy do all these things with such ease and she is only two. Sorry your having a hard time the ultimate decision is yours. I would like you to know both my children have ADHD. Both are on medication. Before putting them in medication I lived at there school. The amount of problem they had in school was distracting to the children made the teachers upset and almost loose my job. I was always going to school for problems.
