Does any one take alone trips to the parks? I'm finally coming down for my first time and my nephew and niece want to bail on me for a day and go to the space center. I want to spend as much time in the parks as possible so I'm considering going by myself. I would be there Saturday alone. Advice or tips? Anyone for a meet up?
Do it all the time. Real sense of freedom to do what and when you want. Plus you can just sit on a bench and people watch as long as you want. You'll love it! - IndyandMarion

My family wants to go to the space center on Saturday. We check into our hotel this Tuesday night and start our park adventures Wednesday. - dhBelle04

Depends on what you enjoy! Shows? Rides? Dining? If you are going alone, I'd say go to DHS or Epcot. If you like rides, RCNRC has a single rider line that moves a little quicker. You can have a beer or margarita too! It's not a bad idea if you go solo! - Jalex239

Aww..why wont they go w/u?? Im sure there can be some way to negotiate.lol. Have they been there before? How old are they? Etc? If they prefer science and educational activities,theres tons of that at epcot - mickeynme

I would totally go by myself if I had to...stay at my own pace, take lots of pics, see inside all the stores, shop for the fam, etc. I would have a ball!! :) - mrsincredible

Thanks for all the tips! My niece is a cm and so she wants a little time off property and my nephew who is 25 just likes going to museums. I am a disney nerd and want to see as much as I can for my first trip. - dhBelle04

My very 1st time in MK I was by myself I was 17 and had never been before (we were down there to march in the spectromagic parade) and all of my friends had gone before so they all knew what they wanted to do. Where I on the other hand wanted to see it all! Being 17 of course I felt lonely but then after I started seeing things I had a blast I was able to do anything I wanted and see things a MY own pace!! It was the best! - ccmom

Im 18 and i LOVE to venture off to other parks while my family is up and away. I can go at my own place and i know i can count on the cast members to be my friend if i get lonely! LOL - Boardwalkgirl

I might have a day on my own during my October trip. The rest of my party has talked about going to Universal, which doesn't interest me. I don't think I'd mind a day alone at Disney! I know I would feel safe & comfortable there. And there are several other MWers who will be around, so I'm sure I can keep myself busy if it happens! - CollegeDisneyKnowledgeGrad
